Interesting! So happy that I have an Ayu release to look forward to in 2015 already!

spanishfan 26th November 2014 11:25 PM

I always love her classical versions so I'm totally looking forward to this <3

Kazeyomi 26th November 2014 11:38 PM

Aw, the Ayu music with famous classic music mash-up was super interesting.

Oh well, I'm always happy with a usual classical album though. It's my favorite type of remix album from her, so I'm looking forward to it :heart

Omg want.
I just hope the tracklist is good and doesn't have some weird ass tracks like XOXO

It says they've "carefully selected famous Ayu songs and fused them with famous classical songs."

浜崎あゆみの厳選された名曲たちがクラシック有名曲と融合し、新たな魅力を放つ。

A mashup specifically means blending two different elements together to make one new one. Vocals from one song with music from another. Visuals from one video with music from another.

If it were a normal "Ayu songs transformed into classical versions" I can't see why they'd use the term mashup.

Yup, they even used the katakana for mash-up which is always used to describe two different songs/pieces of music remixed together.

The term mash-up did have my thoughts going in that direction, but with how other languages can often appropriate English words in, how should I put it, an odd fashion, I wasn't sure. :/ Well, let's hope my fears are unfounded.

I've never been so fond of Ayu's classical remixes. But this one sounds different. Let's see where it goes.

orangeakira 27th November 2014 01:17 AM

Let's hope she actually chooses unusual songs for this and not songs that already have 3-4 different "orchestra" versions already like Seasons, Dearest, M, and Voyage.

stickyrice 27th November 2014 01:17 AM

If this is indeed a mash up between Ayu songs and famous classical pieces, then I am definitely interested in this! Sounds like an interesting project :) If not though, then I hope this is better than A Classical.

yamadashun 27th November 2014 01:31 AM

does that mean it is a mash-up of her previous classical songs? few classical songs blending as 1 new song?

anyway, i am always a fan of her classical versions so i am very looking forward to this! hope the title won't be as boring.

PS: i guess Yuta Nakano is involved.

adantatu2 27th November 2014 01:34 AM

Really nice ayu, but I prefer another single (we don't have Zutto yet, but I'm wanting another one, LOL)

AyuGAME 27th November 2014 01:50 AM

As for the classical release, I fear they will take the usual go to songs they always remix, but I hope to be surprised with a few not so overplayed songs (although I don't like her classical remixes, still willing to give it a chance)

Earth_maiden 27th November 2014 02:59 AM

great news!

TeamAyu2004 27th November 2014 03:03 AM

Im hoping they are all new songs and she doesnt release songs that already have a classical version!!
Can't wait!!!

freedreamer 27th November 2014 03:09 AM

I think Pray would sound SUPER GRAND and Angel will be incredibly softened and beautiful in Classical (if they are selected haha)

hoping for...JEWEL, HANABI, Duty (LOL wishful thinking), Together When..., Microphone, A Song For XX, Memorial Address

tokyoxjapanxfan 27th November 2014 03:27 AM

Because they're describing it as a "cute and sweet, but elegant" love themed release, perfect for Valentine's day (in a seemingly positive meaning) I wonder if the chosen songs will only be positive love songs?

A lot of Ayu's love themed songs are one sided loves and love that's ended.

Dearest, JEWEL, HEAVEN, Voyage and Days pop into my head the most.

Releasing a bunch of angry love songs is definitely possible, but if they're intending to celebrate love, I wonder...

Valentine's day in Japan is a big deal, often used to finally tell the person you like that you like them. And being rejected is definitely a part of love, so who knows.

The cute and sweet part of the description throws me off haha.

And please, not the same tracks from A Classical or the same remixed songs . Has ayu ever heard of Sweet scar, Do It Again, November, Sending Mail, Like a Doll, Marionette, GUILTY? We need to spam her tweeter with the songs we want!

THIS!

Bigtop 27th November 2014 03:54 AM

A Classical II? I did not expect this to happen...
