I didn't even know she had pneumonia :O Hope she's feeling better. I had pneumonia 4/5 years ago and it was horrible. I was coughing up blood constantly and was stuck in bed for close to 4 weeks :\

Yup, Ayu takes her peeps to see Cirque du Soleil stuff every year for inspiration for CDL & the following year's arena tour.

Hope Ayu will end Circusy theme...since she already made the most of it this year...

Cirque du Soleil have a variety of themes they work in themselves, luckily... And Ayu's been using them as inspiration one way or another since CT2000, so I wouldn't worry. You can see it in the costumes, the storytelling approach, the acrobatics (dancers doing tumbles and mime performances, ayu doing aerial silks, all that kind of stuff), the magic tricks with stand-ins... She's been doing Cirque du Soleil shows her entire career, really.

I do wish she'd go to another source for inspiration though, honestly. Like movies, other concerts, even paintings maybe. Even other stage shows would be refreshing. It's possible to warp your audience to a dream world without all your shows looking like Cirque du Soleil.

There are a bunch of CDM shows that have residency in Las Vegas. You can see them all the time regardless. At least half a dozen of the hotels downtown have CDS shows that are just always there no matter what.

I wish she would use space or something futuristic as inspiration. Can't stand the clowns and circus stuff anymore. Ayu please ;_;

OMG now I'm imagining a retro space opera type thing a la Flash Gordon meets Galaxy Express 999 and it's the best thing ever and I'M SAD IT DOESN'T EXIST! >_<
