Ayu does smoke if I can find the picture I will put it up during a video shooting she as smoking

I doubt she's a heavy smoker. Besides, I only saw her smoke in a picture once, and it was a cigar, not a cigarette. Which is different.

I think she can't sing some of her older songs because her voice has matured a lot.

What's wrong with drinking once in a while? It's not like she's an alchoolic.

no, during real me, she wasn't smoking...it was a piece of gum...there is no smoke in that picture, she's stiring her drink, who puts there ashes in a cup -_- put it on the floor

who cares if she smokes anyway? smoking is very common in Japan for most people. It has been my experience here that more people smoke than don't. It is just the way the culture is.

Whoa guys, this topic is almost a year old! Let it die because there are those who simply can't fathom Ayumi doing anything unhealthy like smoking or *gasp* drinking. :rolleyes

Hmm interesting topic.... well my oppinion is that she doesn't drink @ all maybe smokes really rarely or already quitted doing that.... and I think that she's way aware of the fact that smoking destroys voice

uh.. I'm pretty sure her voice changed because through time, you're voice changes. Your voice does not fully developed and become 'mature' and stop changing until you're like in your 40's and that is probably why there are still lots of old singers that are still singing. Besides, as we see, her voice is more well trained that before and when you start training for voice for quite awhile, you can use your voice and control it better. I personally hope that she does not smoke because she's a singer right? And if she smoke then that sorta harms her voice and you can't hold your breath or use your breath wisely during singing. I don't think there are any problems with drinking, everyone does it when they get old and it's not like she's an alcoholic or anything. I don't think we will ever find out if ayu smokes or not unless she tells us herself so for the time being, I don't think it really matters as long as she keeps singing us good songs. :D
