A hit just means some single sold very well. A lot of her singles did sell very well. She had hits.

I think the GH album means her company has realized she has absolutely no interest in doing any work. They'll make some money and get rid of her before she crashes completely. Her recent behaviour and paparazzi pics show she's almost there.

I think this is more single collection than greatest hits. Artist with long careers can release 'the very best of the best' albums. With Britney it's just everything she's thrown at us since 99.

What would I put on a Britney's Greatest Hits album? ...Baby One More Time, Sometimes, (You Drive Me) Crazy, Oops!...I Did It Again, Stronger, I'm A Slave 4 U. They're the ones I can remember, though I don't like them, so they were big enough for a non-Britney fan to notice. But that would leave her with just 6 tracks...
