As for comparing the albums to one another... i dont think any of them are necessarily BETTER than one another.. they each have something that makes them stand out. ^_^

I absolutely love it! It's got a good mix of song styles, her vocals are great, and the arrangements on almost every song are great. The only track I dislike is WONDERLAND.. ^^;; It scares me, heh.

Other than that, good job to Ayumi! Two years well worth waiting.

I thought it woulda been crap when I first heard the samples. But the more I listened to them, the better they got. Now that Ive heard the whole album, I love it!

kyaaaa all the songs are growing on me more and more as I listen to them (with the exception of my name's WOMEN.. but hah). This album has a very different feel to it.

I think some of the songs stood out (About you, walking proud, etc) and I felt it was more of an album that really grows on you. I can't help but play About you about 50x times when it came out!

BUT. I was really surprised that there doesn't seem to be some sort of bonus track. Yea, yea, I know how there is already 17 tracks on there, but this is, I believe, the first album that she doesnt have some sort of "surprise track" on there.

every song is just so nicely nice composed,really can't stand AYU,how can she keeps
on impressing me and poisoning me with her stuff, I am AYU- poisoned, tonic please! >_<

mmm... i think it is nice... :) all ayu's album is nice (expect the 1st one)... I cant ask more since she has done her best making it :)

i think i will need some time to actually like it...you know, after a few listens, any song sound nice :)

I just watched some of Walking proud and Humming 7/4 on a streaming site...

I was dissapointed with both of them and stopped them once they got to the chorus. From the tracks I've heard fully, the two above, INSPIRE, About You, GAME, Wonderland and My Name's Women, this sounds like a really bad album. That's 9/17, so I'm definetely not buying this.

Once again, Moments and CAROLS are the only tracks I like and I'd rather waste money and buy the two singles instead of this album...

Now that I've listened to the whole thing on CD, with better speakers, some songs sound better than when I listened to them on my comp with it's basic speakers. my name's WOMEN sounds better, I'm beginning to like it more, same with Humming 7/4. Listening to it as a whole album, it's not bad. I like it :yes

i think it is a good album. there are emotional tracks like carols, walking proud...and concert tracks like humming 7/4 to pump the emotion up... the songs are good, but the cover is bad...too much lipstick

I don't know why some ppl don't like Humming 7/4...i think it's a GREAT song!! Overall, i think MY STORY is a GREAT album!

I might buy this album later this year, because I really want the OS CD+DVD for Moments, CAROLS and GAME+the making ofs, and I really like the songs Moments, CAROLS, INSPIRE and GAME, so I figure $21 is worth it for 6 good videos/making ofs, and 4 good songs, and maybe the album tracks will grow on me...

I love this album a lot. It stanks of old, but in a good way. Love songs also sounds old and stuff, but My story is more 'sophisticated' and strikes a different form of nostalgia within me (despite the fact that I started listening to the album only 8 months ago).

It feels like deja vu :thud fans have never and will never be completely pleased :laugh


I really like this album and it's up there with my favorites :yes I love walking proud, Moments, INSPIRE and GAME, those are just amazing!

My Story is actually near the bottom of my favorite Ayu albums, i like it. But i can't even listen to it half the way through. Simply cause i think it (as a whole) is very boring.
It has some gems like Moments, Carols, About You, GAME & Winding Road. But the rest i rarely ever listen to. I think my main problem is how it's filled with so many standard ballads & midtempos. Alone they sound great, but on an album they blend together so much that i can hardly tell them apart. Which is a shame.

However, i really like how relaxed and calming the album is (not counting the horrendous Humming 7/4) I can't really say that about an Ayu album whole hearted other than with Love Songs.

Overall i give it a solid 6/10
