I think that the Connected video is more visually appealling than Real Me myself. I mean, I showed my friends that video and they didn't even know ayumi hamasaki and they said "WOW"
.... and besides, it's my favorite video!
but it's a majority rules thing, so tell me what you think! :D

We have 600 members in ahs. This is big. We need to vote for her again and again. I don't even have mtv, but ayu could be a little more known if we do this.

With anime being popular in the USA and how cool the PV looks, I think Connected is a better choice to campaign than Real Me. The American audience will be like WOW!!! I wanna see this music video over again. Once that happens, Connected will rise higher on the TRL charts. :)

True, yet wouldn't it be a better option to have at least a few words contained within a song that people understand? I'm not saying your opinion is false, but judging by the current Latin music trend the music is more successful if there is a bit of English within them, therefore Real me is also a great option.

To be honest, at times I think TRL is completely "fixed." There are times when videos from the early 90s make it onto there out of the blue and then you never see them again. I haven't watched the show since the beginning of last year so I'm not sure if this trend still continues, yet it makes me a bit suspicious about how many votes are real and how many votes are fixed.

ETA: So the entire TRL idea is bogus. It's not worth trying to get Ayu on a teenybopper show that's beyond fake. Even if Ayu has a million votes, the MTV execs wouldn't dare to air her videos. It's pointless.

I agree Chibinina4. Most of the time we will see Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, N'Sync, Back Street Boys, or some other well-known teen-pop band/artist at the top of the list everyday. It's time for a change, but unfortunetly this probably won't happen anytime soon. :(

this could only end in disaster! TRL = Total Rejects Live. it is a "FIXED" show that features artists that MTV intentionally over-pushes to pander to the bottomless-wallet group of pre-teen yuppies to get more ratings!

I.E. MTV plays the videos THEY want to play, not what is currently the hottest seller or anything like that.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ---- Don't degrade Ayu by attempting to get her regocnition through anything to do with that music-killing aparatus known as MTV.

for me, i think that there are some other vidz that could be shown.. like EVOLUTION.. i think datz nice.. but between connected and real me, i would pikk real me.. kuz i would want ayumi to be SHOWNED.. and i think that real me is a better song than connected any wayeez.. itz more western.. better off for amerikanz rather than connceted.. its juss my opinions!!! (btw.. i kant vote kuz it said that i wasnt elligible to vote.. y not??)

I myself voted for "Real Me" because I have not seen it and "M Above and Beyond Remix" does not have a PV...I do not think..Oh well!I am hoping that they play the PV all week if they even consider playing it...Ayu!!!*cries*I am so glad she is alive!:inner

M "above & beyond remix" has a PV! I don't think Connected would be a very good video imo...the scenes do not match with the song at all....the song is very good though but ayu is not in the video........Real Me has some dance moves and the song itself suits more with the pop songs that MTV likes to show. I can't vote though...I tried doing that and a message said I couldn't :P Oh well :rolleyes

I sense lots of negativity for this campaign...
TRL is a source of teen music, but let's not forget that Ayu's biggest audience in Japan is teenagers...
And there is so much disunion about what we should vote for.
I don't think that "Real Me" would go over well with american audiences at all. I mean... the people pods with the reaching and grabbing? (and the danglie that she has on her crown drove me nuts! I was like, "STOP shaking!!! no more shaking!!!"

TRL is mostly controlled, but not by the MTV execs. the most recent, most popular American boy bands/ pop singers always top the charts because the same people vote for them every day. That's why rock rarely gets very high on the list- because most rock fans don't like TRL, and would rather have Headbanger's Ball come back. The show is aimed at teenyboppers. As for ayu, I'm in agreement with whatever we decide on. We should also advertise to other forums, because while we have 600 members, I've checked, and 300 or so have only posted 4 times or less, so that doesn't really help our cause to know that there's only 150 or so truly active members here.... try some of the other forums too, hopefully we can get several thousand people... then we can at least make it to the number 10 spot, if not higher, and hope people like it.... although as I said before, if MTV america doesn't have the video, they can't show it.... like if I were to pick Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" they couldn't play it, because MTV destroyed the video a few years back on one of their shows. It all depends. It's worth an attempt though, and it will be funny if we succeed

REAL ME!!! My friend says it sounds a lot like destiny's child, so I think it will go very well. People don't want to watch a music video that doesn't have ayumi in it. Kanariya was weird... Every one I show it to laughs at it. ... I did too when the old guy's eyes get really big and he's all like WOAH!!!!
I don't think pop is what MTV likes to show now. It's all about rap, r&b, and a few new pop singers, especially pink.
