I have a really hard time believing, after taking vocal lessons from 3 teachers myself, that any vocal coach would tell you it's a GOOD idea to sing from your throat. Most are gonna tell you what PrismaticTears just said. I really don't think she listened to her teachers. She still did have her little problem with authority at the time, if you remember.
Likewise, I remember watching performances of "Moon" and other idol on stage songs, and hearing NFN around the time i became a new fan. I was amazed that she sounded so much better then than on ASFXX.
