i'm glad that people in their 20's and 30's are still listening to Ayu...since it used to be like common knowledge that the majority of people who liked Ayu were really young.

I'm amazed that Ambitious! Yashinteki de ii jan is the 3rd highest in anticipation. I honestly thought Morning Musume would have slipped many minds by now.

BLUE BIRD should sell around 126,000+ in its first week, considering the two featured songs and Ladies Night was promoted. Over all, I'd say 279,000+.

This single seems pretty strong in the fact that the two songs fit the upbeat summer life. The two remixes also give incentive to buy the CD.

My prediction: 125k on 1st week sales.
But, I hope BLUE BIRD 1st week sales will be around 160-170k
just like her 2005 single.

Meh...I think this single will do the same as Startin'...not even 200,000...however...ayumi's next single (prays for a ballad) will make 300K!!! and then she doesn't release her album for 6 months...(prays)...breaks are needed to make good songs...that or she releases her album 3 months after so that she's rushed...'cause rushed people bring out the best stories

And the ironic thing is, B&D didn't even pass the expectancy and it sold the lowest out of all singles.

I don't care how much the single sells as long as she debuts as No. 1 for the first week, nothing else matters to me. It could sell 120k in the first week and drop completely off the chart to 0 the first day into week two and I wouldn't care -- she'd still have her record intact. How many consecutive No. 1's would this make again? 28?

I wonder if that means anything? it's hard to say, really. I mean, it could sell low like B&D did if we're going by NINKI poll, but it's got a b-side and two ass-kicking remixes to back it up, and it's her summer single, and those usually sell pretty well...O_O I just hope she makes No. 1 weekly!

Yeah...Ayu needs another earth-shattering ballad like HEAVEN or Moments again, and another ass-kicking rock song -- something like Because of you or is this LOVE? But they had better be ORIGINAL. That's the problem with Ayu's latest few singles -- they sound really...generic? She needs something that is going to STAND OUT.
