Sumtimes like when singin' live and u feel that your throat is dry and that u won't reach the note u can sing low (the same note but like doin' a chorus, in 2nd voice) so as to sing in tune without tryin' to do sumthin where u could fail and make it sound like ******!

i dont think that ayu's voice has change.....

I think that she just uses it differently.

well, ayu has done also training in new york.

Ayu's vocal training in New York was before/around the release of A Song for XX, so I don't think it should really make a big difference.

I have no idea why everybody has whine about this. DO YOU BLAST YOUR SPEAKERS UP TO THE MAX? You don't get headaches from just listening to music from her younger days.

It's almost as bad whining at people who whine, or worse.

If someone hasthat kind of ears, they shouldn't be whined at. Although, neither should anyone be whined at for having that kind of voice.

About Ayumi's first album - I think she manages to hit the high notes really well in the studio version. But if you watch live performances from that period, especially the 'Jpop night Channel A' concert, her voice is really off. There's nothing pleasing about her way of singing.

I think right now, even if her voice is pretty low and it's difficult for her to sing certain songs, she sounds a whole lot better and stronger than she used to.

I guess it's the intense vocal 'training' you automatically get from performing SO MUCH as well as on-the-side vocal 'lessons' when recording a song :)

No, seriously. I can have my volume at 2 (on headphones, i don't use speakers) and I can hear the high notes from across the room.

I guess her voice has just changed over time. But yeah, I've noticed that too.

No, she still has lessons and has had lessons ever since she started. She mention them from time to time.

I don't think her voice has changed that much, but her technique of singing has changd alot. Her voice has gotten a bit deeper, but she sings very differently from when she was younger too. She did sing very nasally and squeaky and she diden't know how to use her muscles right. That's why she had quite BIG problem with hitting the notes sometimes. Some of her songs also were higher, not just her way of singing. I think if she continued singing the way she did she would've wrecked her voice by now.

Ayu's voice has definetly changed more than most other artists I've heard, it's almost scary sometimes. I prefer her earlier voice (though not live), but not for songs like inspire and startin'. I think she sometimes manage to pull off the proper "cute" style nowadays too.

She does not still have vocal lessons in NY, which is what was mentioned.

Her voice has always been her very own unique voice, but the fact that she does sound different now when singing, compared to back then, can be said with the words "her voice has changed", I think.
