im just reading the comments and imagining the intro and "wow" parts :P |
I cant wait for my dvd anymore and its only been 1 day since i ordered. hahaha lol. I went on ayunite and saw 3 screenshots of the dvd. really cute and cool.
|
Mmm.
I can't wait for my DVD. I'm going mad! LOL Are the screens like even real? Or are they some new technology with projections? :o |
it is but in the opening, i can see through the 2 front ones. Maybe connected pixels of light.
|
Well, you can see the projectors when they move the camera 100000x in the intro..
I just think they're some sort of new technology that Ayu's the first to use [well first female jpop singer..] ~ :D |
Yeah, they talked about those "now technology special screens" even before the performances started.
When I was there it seemed like... huge completely transparent glass screens, with those big lights in them, the only weird thing is that they could light up with any colour... |
I watched the intro/Born to be.. and..
I LOVE IT!! The opening video was alot better than I expected it to be.. I thought it'd be like the encore intro from Dome Tour 2001.. I absolutely love the use of those new screens in the concert!! They add a whole new dimension to the whole scene!! And when they first turned them on, it looked like they magically came out thin air!! I also really like how they unveiled Ayu.. I thought it was just going to go completely dark and then turn bright again and she'd be there.. Spoiler:
Ayu's vocals were very good too! and the images on the screens were so beautiful!! The camera angles were pretty spectacular too... I can't wait to get the DVD and watch the rest!! (I think I've already spoiled enough :P) |
Her vocals wasn't actually that good when I was there, which means avex has, as usual, been fiddling with her vocals to present them as better sounding. Unless she actually sang a lot better during the very last perfrmance. Doesn't really matter though, as long as it sounds good, and you can still clearly hear that it's live, nothing as fine polished as a studio recording :).
And the screens was... indeed amazing, I remember them just appearing out of nowhere when I was there, too. They could really go invisible, or almost solid with colour and lights. I think that the words "a whole new dimension" is the exact same words as the ones I used in my concert review when I mentioned them... haha :D. |
Hm. About her vocals.. maybe they just like.. fixed the volume of every instrument against Ayu's voice for the best possible audio quality? The main difference between this live, and the TV lives of BTB to me is the fact that the music doesn't drain her voice out at all.. :/ ... And like, I remember that even when I listened to the recordings that you made when you were there, I was thinking that the instruments sounded half retarted and it just didn't really sound proper to me.. because the volumes sounded all screwed up and it sounded like Ayu had to sing really loud at times to overpower the music, which would make her sound like she's straining, right?
But I could be 100% wrong.. |
They fiddle a whole lot with the different sound levels in the DVDs, for example they often make the sound of the audience really apparent at times... if you're actually in the arena, I can tell you that all of it gets totally drowned out in the INSANE sound level emerging from the stage speakers. The music/vocals downs out every other sound in the arena, except between the songs when people cheer. Sometimes you can hear people cheering during songs when you're in the arena, but it's very modified in the DVD.
I'm pretty sure that during the performance they record all of it separately, microphones that take up the sound of the audience, one microphone for each instrument and one for Ayu and one for all the sounds in the arena at once... and so on, and then they mix it until perfection. |

After watching the whole thing, I think the only performances that have really been tampered w/ beyond the volume levels are Step YOU, Ladies Night, and alterna. It is painfully obvious in Ladies Night. |
Ugh... hearing that sort of scares me, although Ladies Night sounded very close to perfection, I seem to remember.
I'm at like.. 5% on the torrent, maybe it'll finish by tomorrow or the next day. I guess it'll take like 40 hours. Please don't miss my above post, I want your view, too. We posted at the exact same time. |
I guess they had some sort of reasoning for doing so.. D:
Then again, I imagine that some AT05 performances were also tampered with LOL~ Maybe CAROLS? :B |
All of the DVDs has been edited, always, during the entire show, some performances are more noticeably so than others, though.
It's not something that only applies to Ayu. |
Oh yeah, I must add that so far the lighting is amazing as well.. It seems like they have lights strategically placed to shine from every possible angle.. and the lights are soooooo nice..

AT06 had the show. It had the lights. It had it all. ...I'm so exploding because I'm finally able to discuss AT06 with everyone :D. |
^^ Hehehe!!! XD After all these months of talking about it and only 2 or 3 people understood, now we all do XD I'd be exploding too :P
Speaking of exploding, I'm gonna explode waiting for the overseas version of this DVD.. Last year, I waited the full 24 days impatiently.. then I ordered it right away, but the customs people stole it for 'inspection'.. just my luck, /I/ had to be the random 1% after waiting 3 weeks. They seized my DVDs for 3 weeks too.. everyday I'd come home from school filled with joy, expecting it to be here.. and then it wasn't. Everyday.. for THREE WEEKS.. It was one of the more horrible waits of my life... So this one better not take so long... or someone's gonna die... |
