Here is my opinion: I think in many parts of Asia... generic, common western patterns (such as that red plaid/checker what-chu-ma-call-it pattern) is actually considered pretty fresh! Haha! Well, fresh or not, I still think it's ugly, even on her. XD (Seriously, in some of the first pics, her hair + the dress make her look really...orange, lol)

Although I think I love her facial expressions more than anything else.

oh, by the way, it sorta reminds me something...

in my personal observation: i notice quite a number of my chinese friends who like to dress up in that kinda manner, i m not sure what style it is called... something like back to the old fashion thingy... i think its a trend in china?? nah~ common people, stop bashing her clothes... she is just trying to be friendly to the chinese =D

I actually quite like the dress...Ive been seeing similar dress in a few stores...I think its one of the trends. One time I almost bought a blue version of that.

haha. the place where the pictures of her taken is actually in this one area of shanghai that has traditional-styled shops and an amazing fish pond. i love that place, and when i go back in a month, i'm going to find that exact same spot that where ayu is standing :P

that sux she went out the privat exit and ppl didn't get to see her. i'd be upset... but then I think maybe Ayu was tired or not feeling well and didn't feel like be bombarded by ppl asking for autographs and screaming "AYUUUUUU!!!"
