I totally forgot about how a good portion of HK artists do indeed lip-sync. Most don't do it for their own respective concerts (although I'm pretty sure Twins did it before...), but for like smaller events like that MTV-esque show, Jade Solid Gold, artists might lip-sync, especially the ones with a pretty face and no talent whatsoever.

I'm sure Eason has done it before at least once in his career.

As I said before that was not an opinion but either an ignorant claim or trying to get attention. Before speaking to the media he should've confirmed this, especially since he slept through a certain parts of this concert.

I agree, but then judging from Eason fans at other forums and here, he does seem to be a decent guy. Maybe he was drunk. Or was he maybe making private comments to a friend? and was overheard by the media accidentally. I'm not clear whether the comments were made at a press conference or a private interview. Probably should shut up...

Hm.. well I have no idea how he is as a person or an artist but his comments were rude in any way. I think he said it in an interview if I remember it well as some members mentioned he was giving dirty looks while he said it.

That's just how he looks, you'll have to forgive him for that. :D

naw, I agree with you. And, I meant I should shut up, considering I am rather uninformed regarding the situation.

People should let it die. I don't like him but hey he's apologising people should not get over protective. Afterall how many times have people here criticised ayumi and as silly as it sounds, using words that if Ayumi EVER caught wind of she would probably be upset if fans were grouping together to blatantly criticise negatively something she puts hear heart mind and soul into. *Shrugs* This is my point of view.

You can't lip sync at JSG anymore. But I think artists do it in those mall events.

He has. I remember he told the media before an award show started that he was going to lip sync.

All the people talking about him all the time, that just pumps up his fame. So if you dislike that Chan guy just stop talking about him, geez... :rolleyes

tinta_chan 2nd May 2007 08:37 AM

It is the best thing that could do this piece of......

Sorry :)

Choyan 2nd May 2007 01:43 PM

... :? not definding or anything,
but didn't he just say
"I didn't think it was possible to dance with such movement and make no breathing sound" and that he didn't think Japanese people lip-synced... Oh......right~ ok. XD <_< =.=;

Perhaps Ayu has learnt to breath properly for singing >.> or because she has to sing the next line, the breathing isn't clear
AND that Eason was in a too dreamy state that Ayu's performance sounded too good~

--
has anyone said anything about "Grasshopper" s? comment a few days after
"We are the real stuff! We don't (lip sync? I don't remember clearly whethere they used this word) like other artists overseas"

^ <_< gee, heaps of HK artists lip sync lol~ so rude lol... and racist? XD =.=;

Darkevil 2nd May 2007 03:20 PM

Was pretty shocked that he say these out openly. though he's a singer that i quite admire in Cantopop. but that's really a immature move.

Aisha_Angel 2nd May 2007 06:28 PM

He's just ignorant. He does have a responsibility to apologize to her, because he made the comments about her and not the president of Avex. I don't care how long a person has been in the music industry, he still has a responsibility as a decent human being to be more considerate with the things he says towards other artists. Ayumi has worked hard for nearly ten years to get to this point in her career, and the only thing he can think to do is smash it down with the acusation of lip-synching. Then when he finally apologizes, two weeks later; he gives such a sorry explanation for it all just to make himself feel better for trashing her.

It's almost unbelievable how silly he made himself look in the end, but I guess I shouldn't have expected anything other than his own foolishness to be the backing of his "settlement" with Ayu. From what I can infer, it's like a bully slapping you in the face and apologizing to your best friend instead of you. That's just how stupid this situation is. If I were one of Ayu's staff members, I'd just tell her to "keep singing your songs and prove him wrong. Defy the haters, Ayu!"

^ Your post was very intelligent and voiced exactly my same feeling.

j_nerd's comment made me laugh so much.
