she just alright to me...
i dont really like her song but i do love her dancing

I didn't pick an option since I'm really just undecided at the moment, but I did love her at a time. Magic, Castle, J-Game, and Dancing Diva were all great albums. Agent J, on the other hand, was the most disappointing, dry release of hers since she started doing music that didn't suck (before Magic). Now I'm just kind of iffy about her. She certainly doesn't sing much better than your average woman and I've heard from numerous people who have met her that she is a snobby witch in person.

However, her production is so slick that she's managed to release some fantastic material (obviously with her voice as nothing more than an instrument to make the songs work). Really, she's just you atypical pop singer. She isn't all too original. She can't really sing that well. But she comes from an industry where most singers just sing dull ass ballads with no originality, so even though she sings her fair share of these songs, she has enough fantastic upbeat, original tracks to make her relevant. And she certainly does seem to have a great work ethic, and I at least have some respect for her because of that. I just would like to see something exciting from her again since it's been so long.

While I may not be Jolin's biggest fan, I will always defend her from the ridiculous "copycat" claims. How in the heck has she copied anyone? People are always saying she's copied Ayu so many times, but seriously where? I own four Jolin albums and have seen almost all her videos and there is nothing I see that is blatantly ripping off anyone. Just because her music is Pop, that certainly doesn't make her a "copycat" of any other person who sings Pop music.

but jolin like doing more than 1/4 cover songs in an album!

I love her. She's the best chinese female singer.

I couldn't stand the language so I avoided listening to c-pop and such, but when I gave Jolin a try, I instantly fell in love with her music. She's...different. Her music is always so unique and sometimes really weird, like the 'Nice Cat' song. She's great :D

Ok well I don't really hate her but I definitely don't like her. Her voice kind of irritates me tbh....and it's funny because I usually listen to artists that have 'unique' voices if you know what I mean.

Lots of my friends love her but when i listen to her she's kinda boring to me...

But she's good but not my cup of tea :lech

I think she is pretty! I have her album Agent J on my iPod and it is pretty good!

I agree with bondingo - her voice isn't amazing and she's another manufactured idol in a somewhat bland industry, but she works with the right producers and composers and that makes all the difference. I know she's been taking over her image lately, but I still see her as a singer and not an artist.

She has some nice songs. I have most of her albums too, but I can't say that I listen to her songs a lot.

I have never listened to any of her music, but I'm up for recommendations! :D
