i only like pieces of me and radar

that is about it.

So even though I already had all the songs in high-quality MP3 form, I still bought the album today. I'm not sure why, since with the effort she's been putting into her career, I certainly wasn't doing it to support her. I guess it's just because I'm an avid CD collector. I really need to stop buying CDs when I already have them on my computer. It's a waste of money :(

Complete agreement.

Dreamin Startin 31st October 2007 10:59 AM

^ If you're going to download her entire album, or any artist's entire album, and enjoy it, you should buy it.

Does anyone else think that only putting 12 songs on Blackout is too few?

Kobayashiwoof 31st October 2007 01:43 PM

anyone noticed that Britneys new album is cheaper than most CD albums atm?

since Britney wont be promoting it, ZOMBA her label, came up with some ideas to make it sell! EG, controversy with the album booklet. Distributing the CD at cheaper prices.

TITANIC 31st October 2007 04:27 PM

i'll preorder blackout next week...hehehe

austin. ♥ 31st October 2007 04:38 PM

Britney was named Maxim's 5th unsexiest woman alive. Awww... At least she came ahead of Madge, Amy Winehouse and etc. I guess. :[ I don't agree with half the people on the list. :|

Edit; Here's the official Maxim link.

milky_way 31st October 2007 08:26 PM

I didn't know Maxim had a list for that.

CDs are always cheapest the first week they come out. Maybe it's different in Australia, I don't know... :\

Luv ~Venus~ 1st November 2007 05:36 AM

Yep....especially at Target but the thing is they censor out profanity! ToT Quite sad, indeed! Oh, well, I'll stop at Best Buy when I get the chance to!

Is there even one released? Considering the fact that the album was released yesterday, it seems doubtful to me.

BILLBOARD: 1-day sales: at 124,000 and predicts #1 debut!

Britney Spears looks to have a clear path to top The Billboard 200.

First-day sales from the eight chains that report to Nielsen SoundScan's Building Charts put Spears' Jive/Zomba release "Blackout" at 124,000 on the report released today (Oct. 31).

That is more than double the number of units posted by Carrie Underwood's chart-topping "Carnival Ride," which rounded up 49,000 sales from the start of the tracking week through close of business yesterday. That album is currently in the runner-up position.

Zomba estimates "Blackout" will open in the range of 330,000-350,000, a ballpark that falls in line with her Building Chart total.

Since the Building Charts' inception, six of the seven weeks' Wednesday leaders were also No. 1 on The Billboard 200 when final charts were compiled with data from all reporting sellers. Jimmy Eat World's "Chase This Light" was the only Wednesday leader that did not hold its pole position.

The Building Charts also seem to confirm that the nation's biggest seller, Wal-Mart, will not report sales on its U.S. exclusive, the Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden," as that much-anticipated album is missing from the Wednesday list. Wal-Mart usually blocks its proprietary titles from appearing on Top Comprehensive Albums, as was the case with its Garth Brooks exclusives.

Anderson Merchandisers and Handleman Company, the racks that stock music at Wal-Mart, are among the eight accounts who provide data to Nielsen SoundScan's Building Charts. The remaining six reporting merchants are Trans World Entertainment, iTunes, Best Buy, Circuit City and Target.

"In the Zone," Spears' last studio album, opened with 609,000 in 2003 when it became her fourth No. 1 album. The Eagles' last major album, the live "Hell Freezes," began at 267,000 units when it posted the first of two weeks it spent in the top slot of The Billboard 200.

i guess but this album is really cheap at every CD store here, at HMV, their albums are generally $26 when they are out but Britneys was &18, at CC music they are the same but are selling it at $15, big W usally sell their albums at $18 so they will sell at $15 most probably as well :S

Sasha 1st November 2007 02:44 PM

Why no ones like Get Naked? I think that this song is so unusual so I like it a lot.

Dawnie 1st November 2007 09:37 PM

'Heaven On Earth' is Britney's favourite track on 'Blackout'. Just like me. :]
