mp3 for my pc

AAC for my iPod

:)

AAC, for a second i thought u meant FLAC. But either way mp3. I'm not converting an entire 30 GB collection from mp3 to something else until the day mp3 is obsolete.

Deneb 9th March 2008 01:14 AM

mp3 cos i dunno how to make AAC >_>

darc_aqua 9th March 2008 03:33 AM

I use AAC mainly for my ipod since the quality is higher and saves more space on ipod (very efficient) thats why all music on itunes is AAC. I still MP3 but only MP3 encoded with LAME3.97 or any other LAME versions.

mp3 :P

pommy48 8th May 2008 06:11 AM

i say mp3 and i don't even know the difference with all these music formats @_@

I download music in MP3, but rip my CDs in AAC...
I don't see any difference in the size of the file though. Both 320kbps MP3 and 320kbps AAC have about 10mb in my computer :shrug I can't hear the difference in quality either XD But since people say AAC is better, I think, "why not?"
But I don't have the patience to convert my MP3 files to AAC, so I have a bit of both...

xLuna&1LOVE 15th May 2008 02:48 PM

mp3, is that a problem? o.O

wenren93 15th May 2008 03:03 PM

mp3 :D
but i prefer m4a ( sounds better in terms of song quality, much better than mp3 )
AAC, some mp3 players cannot support AAC format.. so hmm, i prefer mp3.
btw anyone here use FLAC or lossless format for their song? :D

I hate Itunes because A) My Ipod broke down way faster than it should have and B) If I deleted music from Itunes it got deleted from my Ipod to. And I dont want to have all my music on the pc just to keep it on my Ipod.
And since I dont know any other place that uses AAC (Im shure there are but I dont know about them) Ill stick to mp3.

KuroixShiroi_Namida 18th May 2008 11:03 AM

I've decided to change from mp3 to AAC. This is so because last time i formatted my computer and i used yamipod to get the music off my ipod...the mp3's were all weird like the tags are cut off and stuff while all my AAC were perfect :mini!

ayu-mix91 25th June 2008 09:37 AM

MP3 (320kbps) and FLAC. =]

ayuholic 27th June 2008 05:23 AM

AAC (VBR) 256kbps
I really recommend it. The sound quality is flawless IMO.

lovelism 27th June 2008 02:28 PM

Mp3...just used to it...

waynechriss 27th June 2008 02:59 PM

Can someone explain to me how superior AAC is to MP3? I've never used the former so I don't know and I'm not sure if it really matters. I have the ability to convert my MP3s to AAC (granted it will take a long time to get my library though), but I'm not sure if I want to if the benefits are slim.

aqua_crystal 28th June 2008 09:38 PM

.mp3 Cause it's compatible with more stuff!

Phobos11 29th June 2008 06:54 PM

ogg vorbis =P... way better than mp3..

if I have to choose only between mp3 and ACC, the ACC it is.. much higher quality than (quite old) mp3s

you know, I've found this too, but not a lot of stuff is encoded that way.

Um...I generally use mp3s, but they are quite annoying when below 256.

I only use AAC when I come across a file that needs to be converted in iTunes, since I mainly use that for all my music and video now, and it's completely compatible with my ipod, so I have no problems.

AAC...though seems to take up a lot of space...but apparently it isnt supposed to...maybe it was just a big file...

I think....man this is hard...i think AAC...since its always perfect and iTunes is my default player.

I can't hear any difference between AAC and 320 mp3, the quality is identical, if not worse on the AAC in my opinion. Anyhow, if your after good quality then FLAC or ape is the best option.

Interesting question, I vote for Mp3. :)
