Something disturbs me about this PV (not freaky gothic people)
Ayumi's music video's ALWAYS have some sort of meaning behind them...
It could be...
1. Ayu is tired of people "bashing" her. You know, lately this year there have been many articles and rumors critizing ayu. She seems to feel bad now...
2. Ayu feels she is going to end her career as a singer (it's happened before with monocrome) She probably plans to give one last album, but she'll come through in the end and realize that people like her still.
3.She doesn't like the "product" ayu. She wants people to see her as herself.

i like your concepts, ayuspeed. hey, maybe it could even be those three together, and more. maybe she's telling that it's not easy being a product. it kind of shows what the life of stardom is like. it shows some her album covers. i think those parts have to do with the controversy about her covers and how they're put in the spotlight.

I bet Ayu was crapping in her pants when she turned around and saw those 2 ppl in the backseat of the car. This is what makes "Ourselves" PV so good. :thumbsup

hmm i like those ideas, id stay more with choiuce 1 tho, xcept she dosent feel bad. Shes just liek saying.. say what u want i dont care, ya know.. i cant explaiin it but those were good ideas ya had!

I think explanation number 1 is the best! Number 2: uuh she ain't quitting... I hope! Number 3: she said the opposite stuff in interviews (like that Time interview)

I'm going to translate the lyrics of "ourselves" soon, but I can clearly say that this PV has nothing to do with the lyrics. You see? Ayumi has sometimes created such PVs almost irrespective of the lyrics. ("Dearest", "Real me", "RAINBOW", etc.) Then, what is this PV expressing? ---- My answer is very simple. In my opinion, it's expressing her anxiety and fear deep in her heart, or it might be the nightmare itself she actually had one night.

(Interviewer) Do you have a fearful dream?
(Ayumi) Yes, every night. They almost beat me. ("Hamasaki Republic")

Do you know she had quite often said, "I'm lack of self-confidence." "I'm lack of self-confidence." since her debut as a singer. (I'm sure it has much to do with her trauma in her infancy.) Now she has established her fame as NO.1 popular artist in Japan. But she still cannot help but imagine that the fame and the popularity may disappear one day suddenly and that everyone may start to criticize and attack her. This is my opinion and impression.
From the artistic point of view, I think this PV is created very well. Especially the last scene, which really scared me. She challenged to make a new type of PV, PV with horror taste, and made a success as usual.

That was a while ago. Please read the lyrics of 1Real Me 2We Wish and you will realize that ayu has finally "found herself" I put those things in order of most likely to least likely. I'm glad so many people agree with me!! Koko ni tsuzukuru daro!
