I dont think she was wrong for cutting the rope thing...quite frankly, it wasn't looking so good....but also when Peco was talking to the dancers she mentioned it being really risky...so that probably had a lot to do with it.

i think all performers are like this, not just ayu. watching madonna's making of her confessions tour, i definitely felt hints of *****iness towards her back up singers! but as a top earning artist, you have to be a perfectionist to be a top earning artist. there isn't room for a bad job. i sympathize with the dancers and if i were them, i'd be pissed off too, but that is something that comes with their job and i'm sure they know better than anyone what to expect.

truehappiness 19th March 2008 03:19 AM

I didn't think it was *****y at all.

I thought it was very professional.. a lot could've gone wrong if they went ahead with it. :O

yep, if its not working out...why keep trying it? i'd rather see her cut it than see it messed up during the concert.

If Ayu hadn't done it, someone else (producer) would have....she was doing her job, I would say.

Yes, what she said, was there was just not enough time to practice to get it to look great. She said that they would definitely get to do it in the next tour because they would have had more time to perfect it. (I imagine Ayu was also concerned about their safety) From what they showed of the practice, they weren't very comfortable with performing it.

meh, life is unfair sometimes. but her show, she's the boss xD

nomizo31 19th March 2008 07:38 AM

I respect ayu so much more for being perfectionist... This is she is the only artist who i buy original cd's and dvd's.

Maybe im too soft on those views though as i am perfectionist also hehe... i anger some of my friends alot by being like this - but in the end they are impressed at what they achieved and cannot believe they could do it. I get to see my friend so proud of themselves when i push them :) so i dont think you should be so harsh on ayu...

It is performers who throw something together and say "thats good enough" that you should be hard on.

ayu did that??!!! I love her alot.. But she's too perfectionist sometimes... I'll go thinking, "why does everyone have to live up to your high expectations? It's also luck that brings u where now, don't be too much!!" I thought of this of about 5 seconds and after that I liked her back again... haha

I think that is very reasonable. :yes

ImpactBreaker 19th March 2008 08:15 AM

True, guys. Also, I think ayu is rather loyal to her cast. I mean, she's been using the same guitarist, bass player, back up singers and dancers for years. Many of them are pretty ugly looking, and her back up singer performances can be considered questionable by some, but ayu still firmly works with them. If she were the insensitive kind, I believe part of her team would already have changed over the years.

Well...I haven't watched the DVD yet since...I don't have it but seeing that people in Asia watches her concert DVDs they might expect the same quality in this concert. If it messes up then they get injured and people might start thinking that the concert is not what as good its supposed to be and they'll stop attending if she ever comes back.

And also take teachers for example, (well mine) the band teacher has to be the "wicked witch of the west" because she wants her students to play well. If the band teacher wasn't like that then the students don't learn and won't play well and they have to perform a lot.

Well thats my opinion. ^^;;

DestinyWishes 19th March 2008 09:23 AM

It's her concert, her rules, her choice.

Plus she's also probably thinking of the dancers safety, also if it's an Asia Tour she probably wanted the concert to look it's best.

prussian blue 19th March 2008 09:40 AM

well... its a little bit mean to her dancer
i know ayu want sa "perfection"
but i think ALL THE PROFESSIANALS are doing this kind of attitude (i'm not saying ayu has bad attitude)
so as a dancer she has to do what her boss said
even its hard
the dancer has to know the risk at first
since they signed it, so they have to accept it

(i got a performing teacher and her attitude is like ayu too! the model, the attitude and her "perfectionist is totally like her!!)

AyUmIXx 19th March 2008 09:53 AM

but we are thrilled by the dancers' performance on that rings..
both of them looked stunning!!!
it's because of Ayu!! and of course their hardworks too :)

hamasaki_edwin 19th March 2008 10:02 AM

it's work. no need to act "friendly" just because you "hang out" a lots with your dancers

WillofDusk 19th March 2008 10:14 AM

I was a bit sad for the dancers, they practised real hard for the aerial dance.

hiroshi_ben 19th March 2008 10:32 AM

i think shes mean and strict to ALL of her dancers :)

but it might be cuz of the short of female dancers, ayu made them to work harder...and its midori not midoring ^^

dayumi 19th March 2008 10:35 AM

well it's her first ASIA TOUR, I guess she wants it to be perfect! lol

ruixiong89 19th March 2008 11:19 AM

Oh, just a question. Does anyone actually have the clip so we can see it for ourselves?

OogoeDiamond 19th March 2008 12:19 PM
