LOL, Ayu & DJ Ozma...what an interesting match. I'd love to see an Ayu & DJ Ozma collabo just to get a better picture.

thanks fo the awesome translation!!! been waiting for that all day!!!

nice message, I'm very happy she persevered, and knowing how much effort ayu puts in to everything, I'm sure this chinese version is going to be impressive!!! p.s. I'm fluent in chinese so I can't wait to hear it!!!

an english version o fwho might be nice, but if you think about the numbers of fans, there are millions of chinese speaking fans, china, HK, taiwan....millions!!!

but english speaking fans? not so many, thousands or tens of thousands maybe.

eitherway, it's quite nice that while many modern pop singers make efforts to make some english songs, and put a lot of english into their songs, AYU has gone the other way, and kinda ignored the english trend, and now gone with her fans and asia and made a chinese version over an english version!!!!

ASIA IS ONE!!!!!

Good job Ayu!!!

So the Chinese version is ON A COMPLETE, like a bonus track?

most important question ever is being ignored?

It better be a hidden track on the Japanese version!! I'd be very pissed (excuse me) if Avex doesn't include this on the Japanese version.

Of course, I'll be able to download it, but it'd suck anyway..

Well I could always consider buying the overseas 3CD version.. then I have both covers ánd the Chinese Who... xD but I want it included on the Japanese version anyway!!

lol
as far as i understand, the Chinese version will only be on the overseas (chinese) version, and not on the japanese version....

truehappiness 10th September 2008 07:41 PM

The overseas versions don't have the Japanese version of Who... though.

It's a price to pay to get one in a whole new language, I guess...

i hope her voice gets better soon.

There's nothing wrong with her voice; don't worry.

The translated word in question is 歌い直す utai-naosu, which actually means "to re-sing", not "to heal [my] voice".

で、なんかとっても私のなかで存在感のある曲だから、あの頃の自分の声でのイメージが強すぎて。今の自分で 歌い直すとなると、なかなかこれがまた難しくて。。。

So, since the song is such a major part of me, my voice from back then gives off such a strong strong mental picture of who I was back then. Now that it's up to me to re-sing it as I am now, I'm finding it really difficult to do again.

In other words, because the song has always been so meaningful to her, she is finding it difficult to go and delve back into it. It is unclear whether she means that it is emotionally difficult to put herself back in the shoes of her 1999-self, or whether she means that it is artistically difficult to find a new way to sing the song while still honoring the original vocals. My guess is both.

truehappiness 10th September 2008 07:50 PM

That's an interesting way to put it..

I mean, she did remake this song 5 years ago, 4 years after the song was initially made.. (which makes me wonder if she'll randomly remake it again in 2012/2013..) So why would this time be any different? Eh. I don't wanna think about it too much.

All I can say is that this new rendition of Who... using just about the same arrangement as THE original, it feels almost as if she's signaling to Japan / fans that she has and hasn't changed. It's a complicated notion, but I feel like she's trying to convey something like that in redoing Who... and not like poker face or Memorial address or something.

Chibi_Venus 10th September 2008 08:43 PM

Very cool. :) Thanks.

If only that were true. And that it would be in English. :P

A Chinese version of Who~
Oh my God.

It's that~ with Comp-chan, in both japanese domestic and chinese foreign version,
It's there~
Why are you so confused about whether the chinese version is on the japanese release and the japanese on the chinese release?

it's stated clearly here?!?!?!

THEY ARE BOTH ON BOTH!!!!

correct me if I'm wrong evolusean... ;)

truehappiness 10th September 2008 10:02 PM

How strange.

I wonder if Ayu intended for it to be on the Japanese one.. and for some reason or another, it didn't get put on?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that sentence just say "There is both a Japanese AND Chinese version of A Complete!" ?

It says: Kono A-Complete, nihonban to chuugokuban ga aru no da!
It says ga and not de / dewa (deha).

know what I'm saying? xD

could be wrong though, not fluent ;)

pommy48 10th September 2008 10:50 PM
