the new album is a compilation of her lastest greatest hits plus some new songs.

New info about the compilation album!!
It will be released on the 28th of September in Double CD and single CD and a DVD will be also released with her better clips and some never released ones.
We'll get the new single on the 3rd of August, called Celebrate, and the video will be recorded in Milán. Some clubs will get Celebration this Friday.
This compilation will include songs picked by Madonna and her fans, such as Everybody, Express Yourself, Vogue and 4 Minutes.

According to the magazine Attitude interviewed with Paul Oakenfold. He has produced three songs for Madonna recently. Their names are

"‘Broken’, ‘I’m sorry’, ‘Celebrate"

"Celebrate" should refer to this song (as we know) "Celebration"

Those names are very similar to "Frozen" and "Sorry", when I first read it I thought "hey those aren't recent songs.. right :laugh "

Probably he uses it for only "identify" the music, but hey the final decision is still depending on Madonna.

I actually like the cover, its very classic Madonna.

So its a compilation disc, hmm a new album would have been better. She's only released three original albums since her last one (though yeah its enough to make a compilation). Granted, I only heard one song from 'American Life' and 'Confessions on a dance floor' and 'Hard Candy' are great albums it just seems too soon for another compilation. More new material please, haha.

Actually, this compilation is of her whole career and not just her last three studio albums. As her contract with Warner was finished, they will launch this compilation disc. And I think we won't listen to new stuff until the end of 2010 or maybe 2011.
