Curiosity is a good thing lol. I guess since this issue has been bought up so many times it's starting to become a jading experience of sorts. Her face does not look any different to me (without taking into account the teeth since 2005-2006ish, which I think is obvious); take it from someone's whose been watching all her TV appearances and most recent concert DVDs. All I can think of is the difference being attributed to lighting/make-up/angle.

Call me ignorant but the Ayu I know wouldn't get plastic or some major cosmetic procedure done on her face. I can confidently say this based on the way she's viewed certain things, her overall outlook, etc.. Also, ask yourself: why would she get one now when she could have had it done years back?

Her nose looks the same..lol.

I'd say her eyes look different because of the eyeliner and the greenish makeup...that's all i felt rather different...

I'm not sure why anyone would think that is her mother. It appears to just be a random woman in the audience. The woman pictured there isn't even in the vip section.

btw, I finally figured out where Ayu's Mom's shop is and it turns out that I've actually passed it several times, but since I wasn't specifically looking for the shop, I didn't notice it. I'll be sure to go on my next Japan trip so the question of what Ayu's Mom looks like can finally be solved.

Actually it seems she had her teeth done cosmetically twice. Check out the super old performances, especially the performances of Love~Destiny - her teeth were completely different then. Soon after, her mouth was totally overhauled and then it seems it changed again (though not as drastically) in 05/06.

I think it's common sense, but that's just me. I really didn't mean to come off rude...

i believe its all because of make up :)

i think she is using the shadowing makeup effect on her nose bridge to make it look sharper but then it backfired,lol. basically wad I suspect she did was to apply darker tone around the edge of her nose bridge and thats why the middle portion looks so bright.

Photoshop and makeup can make a huge difference. It literally takes weeks to heal from cosmetic surgeries, and we would've known if she had any work done.

We all know she's had work done on her teeth. Any other surgery she may have had is all a bunch of rumors unless Ayu tells us otherwise.

nahh it looks the same. its hard to tell when people put up different pics of her with different facial expressions.

do something with teeth can easily make your face change. my friend looks very pretty after she used braces

I agree. It kind of is common sense, any major surgical procedure takes a while to heal from... You don't just bounce back after a day or so.

Yeah. I don't even think you have to have BASIC knowledge of plastic surgery procedures to know that it takes a loooong time to heal from it. :shrug

I believe that she had surgery long ago but not in this case, different hair and makeup can change how your face looks, with I think it is in this case :P

That's what I tend to believe, too.
But nowadays it's just make up.

I'm very against people assuming Ayu has had plastic surgery in the past, but common sense comes into that play once again and people don't seem to really get it... :shrug

lol ur not alone on this :P anyways just because she got plastic surgery doesn't mean anything bad anyways. I don't get why its so offensive. There's like a rumor that almost every asian artist gets plastic surgery XD and sooner or later a lot of actors/singers resort to botox to stay young so its not that surprising... Well its opinionated at this point because we'll never know the truth XD
