I feel really disappointed. I mean... us who followed Jasmine from her first single
had really huge expectations from her. She sounded so different, so cool, so edgy,
and now when album came out its... already told. Such a few not heard tracks,
I saw the tracklist before but when I listen to the album I feel so sad. Album tracks
are not that great to be excited about. Im so sad. Bad girl sounds like lame try and
dear my friend is ok, but it could have been better. PRIDE and another interlude are
.... not that interesting. Why is ok too, but I expected something AMAZING by her @_@
I didnt like her Bsides whatsoever so this album is pretty lame :(

^yeah...that's true...her debut album is so weak...i hope it's not screwed her carier...and japan will still give her another chance on her future releases

I feel so bad for her, about the weak debut album. It just feels like it's clouded with single tracks, nothing new at all it seems. :(

Hmm, I don't really think it's weak. I can't get into some of the album tracks but I think the strong single tracks make it a really good album.

It's just that there's too much, especially considering the fact that most of the people here have already heard them all. That's how it feels to me, but I'm sure those who haven't heard any of the single tracks are like, mesmorized :laugh. It's weak, but then it's strong :).

I really really liked sad to say, No more and This is not a game. Others were so-so for me.

Doesn't look like there's going to be an OS press of GOLD since Five Music in Taiwan only has a listing for a Japanese import...

...and someone is selling some sort of promotional pouch for GOLD on Y!AJ...

...and the prices for the first press, digipak edition of sad to say are starting rise a little higher since the album has been released.

I agree about the Dreamin' vocals, they were a little rough. I think maybe she was just really tired by then? I was hoping she'd do a good job on that song though, because it's one of my favorite songs from her.

When she was 12, she heard a gospel choir sing during a festival and was really impressed with their voices, so she joined a gospel choir herself. But after finishing junior high school, she quit the choir. She mentions: "It wasn't fun anymore, to be alive."

Then she adds, "I hated myself, I couldn't do anything. I wondered, 'what am I alive for?' When I became an adult, the way the people around me treated me changed. I felt like if I had to live with responsibility. I had no confidence in myself. Being alive was no longer fun."

Then they shift to Jasmine's close friend Ogawa, "When I heard her sing at karaoke, I felt that it wasn't just an ordinary person singing. Hearing her could give me goose bumps and could make me cry. So I told her that she should be confident of herself."

Shift to Jasmine, "She asked me 'Why aren't you trying harder?'. She said, 'Asumi (Jasmine's real name), you're better than you think'. She praised me. I had never been praised like that before."

Ogawa's words gave Jasmine confidence and she re-entered a gospel choir. And when she was 18, she passed an audition for a record company.

Shift to Jasmine, "It felt great to be praised. If I look back at it now, it was only a little thing, but at that time it was a huge step."

The limited edition CD+DVD version is sold out at YesAsia for good, it's backordered at PlayAsia for a higher price, and it's cheaper than the CD only right now at all of these websites including CDJapan. The quantity left at CDJapan has been dwindling down so whoever wants it should buy it as soon as possible.

I wanted to order the CD + DVD of GOLD from HMV Japan but they don't have it anymore ;__;

looks like I stick with CDJapan , not that I have any complaints in using their services

but I will be ordering it soon before the LE is gone xD

yeah that's why I prefer ordering my jpop stuff from HMV Japan . They're usually more generous when comes to giving fat discounts for CD + DVD's of singles , albums & sometimes concert DVDs

They also all year round have so many campaigns until I can't keep up :O

Oh well , I should have ordered GOLD much earlier from HMV Japan . At least CDJapan still have some stock pertaining to the CD + DVD edition left

Yesasia is definitely my favourite site for getting cheaper Korea or Taiwan versions of Japanese music, or for the actual Korean or Taiwanese music. They also offer free standard shipping above 30 dollars, and I don't mind waiting at all.

For Japanese music however, I definitely go CDJapan. I have tons of points and coupons, so XD
