Yeah, same. Can't imagine Nocchi will look right with long hair either... their hairstyles all suit them and their personalities well so I don't mind if they stay the same.

In other news, lookie here:

I'm ripping the songs (320kps) and the video (Ipod format) right now so if anyone wants them just ask. ^^ And... there's a small possibility I may be scanning the booklet as well... haven't decided yet. :innocent

I think so too. XD I like the back of the limited better though.

I've been thoroughly enjoying both of my purchases all day. VOICE turned out to be better than expected, so did 575. I can't pick which is my favorite of two, probably 575 but they're both excellent. I don't have a strong opinion of Triangle yet but so far, it's really good. I think my Perfume fandom has officially been established. :yes

Quite surprised that TOKIO is NOT as popular as in the past since they joined J Storm a couple of years back.

But at least, Perfume is still doing well; too bad Fukuyama is in the way, as predicted...

Beauty4123 11th August 2010 06:30 PM

#2 is good, with a little bit over 40,000 copies sold. i'm satisfied, considering the competition.

AyuGAME 11th August 2010 06:47 PM

yeah...40k is high enough...congrats

prussian blue 11th August 2010 06:50 PM

I'm quite surprised perfume will sold 40k on the first day

Zeke. 11th August 2010 07:31 PM

Well at first listen while watching the PV for VOICE, I thought the song was annoying as I mentioned. It seemed the chorus was too repetitive throughout the song... but...

NOW I LOVE IT! I burned the single to CD along with some Aira stuff. Really been on this J-Electro kick lately! It's like candy for my ears!

dreamland2.0 11th August 2010 07:34 PM

Well Fushizen sold 39,382 first day so their a bit ahead with this one!!

And this too last week album charts:
195 657 *,457,600 Perfume GAME
206 587 *,319,561 Perfume ⊿

Polyrhythm 11th August 2010 07:47 PM

Wow another increase! Dying to get my copies x_x

ストロボ・EdGE 11th August 2010 11:02 PM

I saw the full Music Lovers episode and the performance of VOICE made me like it a lot more... and also the medley had a longer version of Natural, I wonder why whoever edited it out in the video that was posted earlier.

ll moments ll 12th August 2010 12:50 AM

great sales for "VOICE"! :D they're only 9k from Fukuyama Masaharu.

Man, you always have these wacky things to say and they never make any sense. TOKIO has never been a popular Johnny's Band. They've only been moderately succesful and outside of Sorafune none of their songs have become a real hit. I don't see how this has changed recently o.O

adantatu2 12th August 2010 01:34 AM

great first sales!!!

Ranma Matsuri 12th August 2010 02:55 AM

LOL I too wonder why whenever a Johnny's band even moderately appears on the horizon Bigtop always has something completely irrelevant to say.

First day sales looking quite good. :D Come on, 100K!

gallowsCalibrator 12th August 2010 05:27 AM

dreamland2.0 12th August 2010 06:27 AM

Oh don't worry they will definitely get 100k
Fushizen is at 105,744
first week was 80,871

They have consistent sales lately :D it's great!
Perhaps new album the end of this year?? Yes please??!!

Nackar_91 12th August 2010 09:59 AM

I was surprised at these sales! I don't know, I'm guessing it's because I personally don't like VOICE nearly as much as I did Fushizen na Girl. I do love 575 though.

Also, their sales are sooo stable! It almost has to be all fanbase, since aside from Ayu and a few others I don't know a lot of acts with consistent sales 0.0

I think I believe in that - that's why maybe not only Perfume's sales are stable/dropping, but also Ayu's, because primarily of mostly fanbase and not very much are newcomers; usually newcomers go for the younger ones like YUI, miwa and others, though some newcomers actually support the "veterans" such as Ayu and Masaharu Fukuyama, as well as other decent artists such as Perfume, and some just jump right directly into the Johnny's fanbase business...

Polyrhythm 12th August 2010 10:27 AM

^Everything you say is like ??????. Perfume's sales have increased over their last 3 singles. Other than that...its hard to understand what it is exactly you are trying to say? Rephrase?

Nackar_91 12th August 2010 05:43 PM

Perfume's sales aren't dropping. They've had a peak with love the world but all the singles after that sold around 100~105k and that's still more than what their singles before that sold. There's no need to bring in the Ayu or Masaharu comparison as the two groups are nothing alike and their fanbases are nothing alike and I never get what your point is anyway >.<

That's good to hear. Now it's just a matter of if they'll outsell FnG. :P

And I was just thinking about that too... FnG/NnK and VOICE makes two singles and 3 a-sides already and looking at their previous track record their singles tend to release 3-4 months apart... so I think a Nov/Dec single and then a late winter/early spring album seems very likely.

ストロボ・EdGE 14th August 2010 03:22 AM

Hm well I do love everything that they're doing, but I wish they'd try something new. A different look, and for the music to change its style, of course not completely but, I mean, all the songs from Game, Triangle, and the ones they've released after seem just like one long album.

I'm still not sick of this exact same style, but I just hope they don't drag it for too long.

Ranma Matsuri 14th August 2010 03:46 AM

^I personally don't mind if they never change this style. :P But perhaps, I can only say that now since I'm still new to the fandom lol. I think they can still get away with it since they only have two albums (I don't consider Complete Best to be an actual album) and artists usually don't start changing their styles until the 3rd/4th album (if they change at all) so I think it's ok for now. Their sound now has a mostly real retro feel to it, so I think it'd be interesting if they transitioned into a more modern techno sound (not electro-pop).

dreamland2.0 14th August 2010 04:50 AM

I actually here a lot of differences between the three albums. Complete Best is very video game-ish while Triangle is more retro sounding. I think Fushizen and VOICE share a similar style that I'm expecting on their next album.

Stuff around Complete Best and before that is very, very different (and IMHO horrible) than the music they release now, but I was saying from GAME to now, it's basically all the same.

Well, I do feel there are differences between the songs on GAME and everything afterwards. Not sure what though, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Triangle and GAME just made me go "meh" XD

Zeke. 14th August 2010 09:38 AM

Yeah I deleted the GAME album a long time ago when I downloaded it because it was too much the same. Not many stuff popped out. Triangle is a more mature sound electro/synthpop/techno. I really like the singles released by then thus far as well. :)

give it give it up (5 syllable)

dreamland2.0 18th August 2010 07:58 AM

Nah don't worry there was no live. Maybe just the mics were turned up louder? XD

Polyrhythm 18th August 2010 08:01 AM

Its not really live....its basically like all their other performances...where you can sort of hear it at the beginning....but then it gets covered up

Ranma Matsuri 18th August 2010 09:20 AM

^Oh, so that's normal then? Because I was just watching the ISLU performance from Triangle Tour and it did sound live at the beginning verses but once it got to the chorus it was business as usual. XD I wonder why that is though? Is it the volume of the mics or the editing on their voices...? :confused

Polyrhythm 18th August 2010 09:29 AM

^They edit their voices. Its pretty obvious....and kind of sad....I guess its cause with their style of music....being ALMOST in tune is never good enough. I hope TKJ starts letting Perfume sing live more....or I mean....stop editing it as heavily.

Ranma Matsuri 18th August 2010 09:57 AM

OIC. I blame it mostly on the style of music as well. I mean, I love it but it's a bit of barrier in lives cause it's like... I can't even imagine how most of the songs on the Triangle album alone would sound without the heavy autotune and effects. But still, I would like to actually hear the girls voices... they have such good voices that it's kind of a waste. :-/

Have you forgotten about VOICE already, the single they just released? XD

But in all seriousness ... they might release one more single, but an album isn't out of the question. It's been over a year and they've technically already had 3 singles (since Fujizen na Girl / Natural ni Koishite was two A-sides) and 575 has seen strong digital sales, despite not having a video. This might be the perfect time for a new album!

Three singles is already enough for an album. Four's also good, but their last two major album releases were in the spring/summer target range, though I think this is over a year that we have seen an album - or maybe we're on a pattern that Perfume releases albums every fifteen months, and if we keep that in mind, we might see an October/November release for a new album, unless they decide they are going with another single...

adantatu2 23rd August 2010 02:22 AM

Is it? Well, in the west a double A-side is almost non-existent, but if 2 songs were released on the same disc, it would definitely still be one single ;) Even if both songs had music videos.

But it doesn't matter anyway 'cause they're not Western :)

adantatu2 24th August 2010 02:45 AM

lol That's only because here 2A and 3A singles are virtually unheard of. The only method that comes even close to a 2A is what Bey and Miley has done, creating alter-egos so they can release singles as two different people like Tomoko Kawase (only you can actually tell the difference between her alter egos so the marketing stunt isn't *completely* obvious).

I don't agree with the every song with a vid/promo is a single bit. I used to think that until I got into Ayu and J-pop... a music world where they actually give videos to album tracks just for added promo. Now I wish the West would adopt the same marketing strategy... give MTV a real reason to exist again. :tipsy

^ yeah. i see western singles in target and they are so skinny with only like one song on it. then i see japanese singles like perfume's with 2a and 3a sides :) japanese singles cost more but they're worth it. especially perfume's.

btw i loved fushizen na girl a little more than voice. natural ni koi shite was amazing.

^Pretty much. :P Besides the internet, the U.S. 's treatment of physical singles is what pretty much killed them over here. You only get one song, the instrumental and maybe some random remix or a B-side. The covers are usually outtakes from previous photoshoots. We don't do CD+DVD's and usually only one (or two) singles are released before the album and the rest afterwards.... so when you add all those factors together, you basically have no reason to buy physical singles here. :laugh

Which single do you guys like more btw? Fushizen/Natural or VOICE?

Fushizen na Girl / Natural ni Koishite FOR THE WIN! I love both A-sides and both PVs. I even enjoy the performances of both songs a lot! while with VOICE I only like 575 (the B-side), too bad it didn't get a PV nor performances yet :cry

FnG/NnK was also the single that got me into them :heart this single is perfect imo!

I think I'd have to go with VOICE. I think FnG was a phenomenal song but NnK was a bit weaker....for VOICE I thought VOICE was good but not a strong A-side....but 575 is totally amazing/everything I asked for so I guess that's why its a win for me. The awesome artwork is a +++ Really though, I have yet to be totally blown away with Perfume in 2010. Waiting for the next album at this point.

I thought Natural no Koishite was sooooooo good. I never understood why everyone thought FnaGirl was better - it really took a while for that song to grow on me.

Definitely Fujizen na Girl / Natural ni Koi Shite for me. I think Voice is OK and 575 is nice too, but I absolutely love love love everything about Fujizen na Girl. It's my work out song XD. Natural ni Koi Shite isn't as awesome IMHO, but still a great tune.

Well, at the start I preferred Natural ni Koi shite, but FnG has really grown on me too. While I think Natural is a great song, it doesn't really build up to a finish or a strong chorus. FnG is very danceable with a great chorus and that gives the song the edge for me ; )
