I am not a huge fan of BoA's music by any means but for some reason I cannot wait for her Korean album to drop. The songs "Game" and "Stand By" were outstanding. The preview for "Hurricane Venus" sounds amazing as well. That is a true testament to the quality of her music.

At first I thought this was about that movie that Jay Park is doing but this is separate from that apparently. It comes from a reliable source but we'll see. BoA has a tendency to be announced for something and then she drops out. This article also I noticed doesn't have a quote from SM. A little strange but we'll see whether or not SM said yes or no.

Maybe the movie doesn't have many talking parts? lol That's my ideal dance flick, less talking/drama/romance blah blah blah and more dancing. ;) It'll be very interesting if this were true... and since the producers are well known, there's bound to be a lot of exposure for BoA. It could be the thing that breaks her into the English market.

Not to mention the last time news of her being in a movie came out, it was fake....that and she doesn't even do that much acting in Korea/Japan....so I find it hard to imagine her first step is being taken in an English language film.

True, she has never played in any dramas or movie. Except that she dubbed for that animated movie that I don't remember the name of... Other than that, she doesn't really have any acting experience. Plus, we rarely if not never see her in variety shows either.

When I thinking about it, Jackie Chan is far from being fluent but he's still the lead in so many American movies (although his awesome moves are distracting lol). If people can understand him, surely they'll understand BoA right?

^ Jackie is the best! :D His accent IS more obvious than BoA's. Jackie has the typical Chinese accent. The same one as my parents lol (although my parents also have a Cambodian accent haha). And yeah, he's a terrific singer!

Have you noticed that with Jackie the characters that he plays always have a reason worked into the script why the english isn't perfect? He's always an immigrant if the story is set in the US. It's gotten to the point where you don't need to give his character much background. It's always assumed that his character is not from the US. They can do that for BoA if her english isn't strong enough.

From what I've heard her English has greatly improved. I can understand her perfectly when she speaks it. Also, having a foreign accent has nothing to do with being fluent. As long as they can speak as well as anyone brought up with English as a first language by the words and sentence and grammar structure, I'd say they're fluent. Plus, not even every person brought up speaking English from birth speaks it properly anyways. We use so much slang these days.
