I am afraid the song was too epic for the director to handle. The idea wasn't bad, but the execution and over all production killed the whole PV for me. It had it's moments, but it gives off a feeling of something that's work in progress.

^This ! I mean, she's in Paris, and the whole storyline is her walking. That's why I don't really care about how many outfits there will be, look at how great is DLB, and it has only two outfits.

Yeah. I was expecting a lot considering how mesmerizing the song was. Mirrors, butterflies, explosions and yet he gave us nothing, besides the cool scene with the pigeons.

I don't think it's possible at all considering something like that is usually advertised heavily beforehand~ Plus an animated PV takes waaaay longer and is a lot more expensive than filming a normal one.

Promotion for this album so far seems really lacking. It comes out pretty soon and usually by now at least one of the PVs would have aired I think.

Hoping for tv performances of beloved! at least on music station =) we need more promotion!!

If my memory serves me well during the last few years we would rarely get PVs earlier than 2 weeks prior to the release and sometimes even later. So this isn't anything unusual. And when it comes to promo I doubt they will do much more than they've done for the previous few releases.

Yesterday Ayu wrote on twitter it's time now to work for the promotion.
Anyway, she doesn't seem to be so much into promotion in the last years... I think actually she doesn't even care of sales, she's just happy with her fans buying her release ^^

But fans want to see performances too!

Seems the trend of Ayu not promoting during concerts is continuing (NEXT LEVEL anyone?). Even though a-nation is only once a week.

And her PVs have come out later and later in the past couple of years, still 2 and a half weeks until release, I wouldn't expect a PV until maybe late next week or even the week after. And it will be one of those stupid short versions which don't do her any favours in terms of promotion.

She needs to release those 5 PVs and bombard music TV shows - the Japanese seem to love maxi-single/mini-album releases where each song has a video, its a great selling point that has worked for a lot of artists in the past.

I believe it was that she finished the editing for the five PVs which is expected. I think people just worried about it for some reason because of the tie-in. Really though.... if progress did not have Tales of Xillia, I doubt anyone would be worried.

And people are probably dreading short versions since that is most likely what we'll get. Arghhh~

No, there is no way it would work. I think it does the exact opposite, makes people download the video rather than go buy the DVD or turns people off entirely because its such a cheap marketing trick.

They were talking about it back then, when love & hope promo was actual, back then we even didnt know the title of the song, but obviously it was progress.

Leslie actually said flat out that he only directed BRILLANTE and beloved. I think progress is likely a Masashi Muto piece since apparently she filmed two PVs at the same timeframe with him. (ANother song and some other PV that is probably progress) Unlike ANother song, we never really saw/heard anything about progress.

I am sure it's not an animated PV and that it's not going to feature any game footage as none of her previous songs with movie/anime/game tie-ups did.
