Its most likely ayus says I want this feel for this years tour, they come back to her with idea, but she also creates characters with her dancers and such. Like how Shuya's hair was or go-mi's hair. It sort of goes with the stage character and presence she want them to have.

I had found it very jarring, since most of the album tracks are very raw and unpolished, whereas the singles are not -but they do go together well. I do think it suffers from too many ballads at the end, though.

I have never understood the praise of I am... because to me it's not that great as a album though it does have M, Dearest, NEVER EVER, UNITE!, I am... and Endless sorrow on it but otherwise it gets a bit meh for me at times. :D

I am... to me was the peak of ayu's creativity when it comes to writing the lyrics and composing the music. It's also an album which further defined her sound.

Seriously, this album has so many beautiful songs. I wish she could have the same creativity like she had on I am... for her future releases. Not that I am not happy with the stuff she is producing, but the sound of I am... is amazing.

However, I also do experience a little bit of hardship when listen to the full album without skipping etc. Seperately, these songs are masterpieces imo. And Endless Sorrow would have been just as great if she did included the original version, but I can live with this one.

I remember when I became fan of Ayu I found I am... absolutely fantastic, perfect etc... etc... the years spent and afterwards I find it a little bit overrated!?

It's still a freaking good album and at his time it was probably one of the best pop album in Japan but I really think that Rainbow for exemple was more creative and interesting musically, vocally ... this album contains her best ballads (IMO) and the ambient/ethereal sound behind most songs on it is just perfect !!

Party queen is back

I hope it's only in the drinking sense and not in the style sense because the whole pink gyaru stuff was atrocious and tacky as hell; A pure disservice to her looks.

Though she is in a completely different place now, married, happy, working like hell all year, releasing 2 albums, made a tour, a fan club tour + 3 CDL dates, she doesn't even have time to be a depressed lonely party queen anymore,
she can have her drinks from time to time, especially when it's her bday.

We're all entitled to our opinions, I guess :P
To be honest, it's not too terrible an album, but that whole era left a sour taste in my mouth as a fan and made it so hard to Stan Ayu.
I'm happy that she's gotten past that point. Hindsight is always 20/20 but I think her uncharacteristic behavior may have been due to her being at a low point.

...I'd totally get shitfaced with her, though.

As for the Party Queen album, I still love it to death. I'm not a huge fan of that gyaru fashion stuff though though that strawberry blonde hair was a pretty nice surprise, haha. But yeah, I loved the music of that era the most. It was nice and she experimented with new music styles too. It's sad that Timmy's work haven't been used at all since then. :<

As for Ayu having a baby, my understanding is that in Japan it's "best" to have a baby before age 35-ish; past that, you might as well give up. I understand that in terms of fertility in biology, but it's not an impossibility, since you're definitely still able to have babies at that age. However, I have a feeling Ayu is just not interested in having a child, which is fine. The expectation of society on her and other women to have a child is just that - an expectation. What matters most is what she wants.

So maybe someday she'll have a child, maybe not. I don't think she will. But that's just me, and it doesn't matter either way.

I get more of an Ariana Grande vibe from Ayu than a Namie vibe in those pics.
