I like this collection. I really like ayu's classical songs. I remember when I listen Catcher in the light from My Story Classical, I was shocked by how well it was done.

I'm curious if Winter diary will reuse the melody from Summer diary, much like how Walk and Anything for You, and sk and TSMGO did...? I somewhat thought, Oh, this will be like Sunrise/Sunset, where Summer diary is the upbeat version and Winter diary is the ballad.

Anyone's thoughts?

I also thought that Winter diary might use the composition of Summer diary but it might be a different composition eventually.

Just for the record - Walk and Anything for You+ Snowy kiss and The Show Must Go On's sound or bits of compositions are coincidentally similar, they are not really the same/identical and probably weren't meant to.

I don't think it's going to be like Sunrire/Sunset. In that case Sunset was a summer ballad, so the same melody fitted, but I don't think it would work as well to get a summer song melody for a winder ballad (assuming it is a ballad)...

I would be a bit disappointed if Winter diary ends up having the same melody/sound as Summer diary. While I liked Summer diary I would still prefer a complete new song.

This morning I used a tool on my LG G3 player : I played Summer Diary, but I reduced the pace and lowered the key, and i f you imagine (really hard) a wintery arrangement, it actually works !

You can also do this in Windows by loading the song into VLC Media Player, clicking Playblack > Speed > Slower (fine) twice then right-clicking the audio icon in your system tray > Playback devices > Double click on Speakers > Enhancements. Then check Pitch Shift and put the number as -1 or -2.

Hmmmm, I was expecting for a slower-paced song but it's rather cheery! Very christmas-y also, even more than Close to you. This said, it didn't impress me but I like the direction she took with the song. Give it sometime and I may grow fond of it, but right now I wouldn't say this is an amazing song.

This will be my first time not going to listen the full song because of this high quality preview.

Wow, this is probably ayu's second Xmas anthem after Close to you. Its different from her other winter ballads. I kinda like it.

Love this a lot. Is super Christmasy. Probably the most Christmas-like song Ayu has ever made. I would totally see this as a cover of some general Christmas song lol It's so Christmas-like.

I'm not gonna listen until the full high quality, but I don't know what to think based off comments. I had a feeling it was gonna be a snoozer with TK working on it, but I see there are comments on it being Christmasy and that type of atmosphere might save it for me. I mean, I used to hate Close to you for how dull it was but now I loooove it for its unique atmosphere.

I like that the lyrics mirror those of summer diary and there's a direct reference to it (when she says "ano natsu mitai ni" -> like that summer after mimicking a sentence from summer diary) but I would have preferred a similar melody a la sunrise/sunset if she had to do this. In this way it kind of looks like she's reusing same lyrics instead of having a "proper" scheme like she had on sunrise/sunset.
Aside from that, the song is not bad, I like that it's so wintery. The first 30 seconds with that engrish re-hash of silent night was awkard as hell and I couldn't stop cringing tho.
