Oh ok , I'm real surprised the parka is very popular even though I don't like pink & yellow that much

But I guess the parka is a practical concert good especially if you plan to wear it often

Anyway even if goods start going on sale from 1pm onwards , I do know people who would queue very early in the morning in order to buy the more popular in demand ones

When I went back Japan in the beginning of the year , I arrived at Zepp Namba at 10am & the goods weren't on sale until 1.30pm (another reason is because I wasn't familiar with Osaka)

I was so early until I saw the delivery truck parked at the road side & the delivery guys handed the concert goods (they were still in the boxes) to the staff , haha

I thought I was early but I wasn't as there was already a line formed outside Zepp Namba

I don't know about queuing overnight to buy concert goods though , I think that's not allowed

I think that might be one reason it's that simple.
Also at one point there are cups and a sofa moving on stage (like the Alice attraction in Disneyland - the theme for the fans on stage is amusement park).
They need space for that.

Actually the band stands behind the stage. Beside the triangle. There a little stage in the middle of the triangle that Kumi came from at the beginning. But it disappears​ when when the led screen is full

Wow those outfits are really bad except for the first one which was also ruined because of the 5 first songs she performed. Ultraviolet looks lifeless, no wonder tho it was just a bad choice as an opener, would have fit better for the third section with that awful hairstyle. The ballad section looks uninspired , same look and dresses at least she should have changed colors. Encore style must be a joke.

I dont know, I was amazed by the two new albums and that she finally came back with something sexy/mature like outside, and something for the nostalgia like inside. And then she makes a tour excluding the best songs and doing the same thing over and over. She needs a new formula, this is just getting freakin old

I love her energy during Ultraviolet. I didn't like the album but I might enjoy watching the tour (the same happened with Bon Voyage). And I'm not going to complain about the stage because I much prefer Koda in smaller venues, and I actually find the triangle pretty cool. :yes

Love the mint dress, a side of it is sexy with the legs showing and the open part at her torso while the other side even has a long glove :heart

So a short review:

Opening + first segment:
Pretty unspectacular to be quite honest. But she looked so hot and it is probably my favourite part of the show. Ultraviolet is a lame opener though, but it seems to be the tour theme (Kumis code-name is Ultraviolet for the show, the dancers are named after the other songs on the t-shirt). POP DIVA had much more power and energy.

As for the medley that followed: It was fun but short, disappointed me a bit though.
Nothing special for Insane. Bassline was performed with a big hat and a black, hight outfit while the screen showed curtains. Looked really stiff - I hope it changes throughout the tour. Damn real is one of the highlights performance-wise.

W FACE PV looks pretty cool, but as a PV it is really boring. Did not buy it in the end (will probably be on the Tour DVD)


Ballad section:
Okay overall. I only remember Chiisana koi no uta cause everyone sang along which was cute, Heartless was performed with only a piano and there were a lot of girls crying during Ai no Uta. Overall not to draggy thanks to the covers. Enjoyed it, but the outfit is just plain ugly. Sukideshite is the song for the audience to come up the stage.

Upbeat section:
Really loved HOTEL and Taboo. The energy for this was pretty high. The outfit looked strange again and reminded me of M BEST Tour Miliyah and the dance break was pretty weird with some fire-streetfighter action. BE MY BABY and LOADED got the crowed and she did not perform BIO (at least i can't remember). I personally enjoyed Wassup aswell and she cried during Comes Up leaving the crowed singing it.

Encore:
Short and basic. Enjoyed Butterfly, other than that more talking than singing. No special ending but " to be continued".



We have 5 dancers for this tour and a live band during the Ballad section. There seemed to be some sound issues as she kept giving hand sings during the whole show. The stage is he basic level and and upper level on the center pyramid.

It's always nice to see famous singers or even famous people going to her concert.

I forgot to mention, I'm so excited for Let's Party Vol. 3. I hope it is as good as the Vol. 2, it's such an underrated concert. Hope she sings some hidden gems as she did last time and I guess we're never getting footage of the Hawaii Concert. :(

About the stage being small and all, I feel like the footage doesn't give enough justice to the overall look. When we get a proper WOWOW footage, I think it will look a lot better.

I want to say that even if the setlist looks disappointing , I'm sure the MC(s) portions might make up for it

Also physically I'm not there but if I'm at the venue myself , it will be different

And I don't think the stage setup is that bad . At least it's not basic ala a live house venue setting where there's literally nothing onstage

Bangrang could be there, but it's not like she's never going to perform the song ever. Lay Down proves that she still can bring some songs of her catalog and sing on different occasions. The stage looks fine as well, it's just a different shape that we're used to.

I don't think the setlist so far for the W FACE tour is that bad either

Also at least there's a structure and the songs are not randomly jumbled up all over the place

I know asking for a completely different setlist for each concert date is impossible (The only artiste I know that does it is UVERworld which I don't know how they're able to do that to begin with)

The upside is that there will be a few different songs Kuu will be doing for each date & that aspect will change

What I've seen of this tour doesn't have me pumped. But, I will save my final judgment for after I've watched the official release. I doubt the footage we have is doing it justice.

I like the setlist, basically it goes from outside to inside and then classic Kumi, there's even the W FACE PV when the changes sections and this helps on the "storyline". Plus there's always a chance a song I think shouldn't be there on the setlist ends up being one of my favorite performances and I enjoy it and the concert a lot more (: Kuu knows how to perform and I think she'll deliver just as usual for me

In recent years she always announced the tour before the album (yeah, since JAPONESQUE, I think). As she herself prefers hall tours due to being nearer to her audience and the tour last year was such a success, they're doing it again. it's just the 2nd time she's touring the whole country (and there just aren't arenas in every prefecture).

Not to offend anyone, but tours are primarily directed at people actually attending them. This and last years hall tours are bigger than the ones for Dejavu and Bon Voyage.

Also for hall venues , even if you're seated on the 2nd/3rd floor , you wouldn't feel you're missing out on things . You still can get a pretty good view

I completely agree with you there. Yume no Uta is an amazing song, very emotional and beautiful. And the arrangement isn't the most unique thing ever but it's not the same piano/strings you hear in every other Kuu ballad nowadays lol

I like her R&B ballads compared to her piano ballads. They have way more character. But, I think her piano ones are more popular, so she just makes them as generic as possible to please the cell-phone toting, hormonal masses.

I'm still a little disappointed that W FACE isn't performed, I thought they are playing the MV in the background during her performance of the song but they aren't... Either way I LOVE W FACE MV, even tho in some parts it looks like she's singing a different song. lol

I'm really confused about 60th single now, is Ultraviolet going to be a re-cut single? Did they have a change in plans and she'll have a brand new single this summer or it's going to be multiple sides single including Ultraviolet. It's so hard to tell at this point... ^yes. It was quite confusing. You have to get your tickets near the goods-stand before the concerts (the goods are sold some hours prior). If not, you can get them at the venue before the concert starts. Just show them the code on your cellphone and they will show you the way.
