I like the pic but at first I thought her hair ended at her temples. Like, it was combed down that way and cut with a scissors at the barber shop, lol, you know what I mean? Instead of being pulled up into a ponytail, I thought it was like some avante garde style bowl cut mixed with a pony. Lol.

In the earlier pictures she posted she is also wearing the hoop earring, so I think it is definitely there (unless she edited even the offshoots). On her left ear she has a second piercing (I think she actually has 3 lobe piercings on each ear), and a second earring visible in one of the pictures. Maybe they edited out the other earring in her right? Or maybe they just tried to cover up a hole that didn't have an earring in it?

I think that's it, and someone pointed to me that her pierces are super low

I think her team/she thinks that people want that 'princess' glam thing but really, she needs to be more approachable.

I really don't get why her team appears to think people would want diva Ayu. I mean, she got popular in the first place because she was approachable and had that girl next door image. Her popularity declined when she adopted her diva persona.

The outfit she wore on Music Station before she changed into the pink dress was perfect. The dresses should be for the tour. I believe it was Ayu's style around Duty to maybe Memorial Address that made her a fashion icon. So you would think a stylist would choose to channel that vibe for a public appearance.

I don’t like his retouching OR his style. I remember that many weren’t fans of it back in the day, and I don’t understand what changed their minds.

His work is certainly memorable that it even caused eneabba not to continue anymore. There are three a four covers I am not fond off, but I am certainly hopeful and exciting to see how the photographs turn out.

Only liked A BEST 2 inside photos, You Were... / Ballad and fairyland (which is one of her most beautiful single cover IMO.. Can't believe it!).

I love Shimoko's work with Ayu. The You were... covers alone are reason enough. Those were beautiful. I love the way Ayu is looking here with the two dresses and the hair and makeup. This is more in line with what I personally like from Ayu.
But I don't get what this hype is with the black and red picture. It looks like fan art.:confused

I think that’s just like a typical Japanese girl thing to do in insta and such. Hope it doesn’t sound sexist but the fans eat it up and even take the videos and further edit them. So I think it’s not bizarre to them.

And regarding the hype of the picture: It’s not necessarily the edit of the photo but rather her look itself. Yeah the edit looks like fan art but ayu herself looks amazing.

No, they were not stories. They were posted as videos/images separate from the stories, iirc. A bunch of short videos that people could scroll through. One of them was on Twitter as well.
