Talking on going back to her roots, her cover of SPEED's "I Remember" is out! It sounds so good, such a smooth rnb tune, some 90s/early 2000s vibes to it, and her voice is also great.
Even if she doesnt feel like making a whole cover album, I really think she should make a covers best with those tribute songs plus covers throughout her career... Saigo no ame, Cutie Honey, BE MY BABY, Megumi no hito, and all those classic ones we have plus ENGAGED, So Close, IT'S SO DELICIOUS, Wanderin' Destiny, and now I Remember! All amazing tracks, would love to have them all on an album! She could even extend it and have an English covers disc as well, with Venus, Got To Be real, We Will Rock You, Livin La Vida Loca, maybe I Feel Love or Hot Stuff (from Donna Summer, which she also covered live). These days I also discovered she used to cover xtina's "Reflection" in the first years of her career, would die for a chance to hear it. |

My guess is they made this song as a small test, to see if people would find out about them or even how they would react to the song without knowing who is behind it. It's weird af tbh lol Avex has really lost their hand at marketing at this point imo, they drop things here and there digitally and hope it becomes a hit. It's also like what they're doing with Kalen Anzai (no shading her at all), she had one type of sound and imagery at her debut and then she just switched to another one and keeps on releasing random digital singles. She should have had an EP at least when the dorama about ayu debuted, and a full album by now... But seems like they want to keep trying on a lottery until a big hit comes up by pure luck. I hope blank paper doesnt have the same faith... |

I hope this strategy wont last forever, especially cause I would love to see music videos and live concerts from them. I also wonder if maybe there are more members than Kumi, Kenji and Teeda? They might also need a drummer and a bassist, so maybe over time we will get to know more of the band, little by little.

tbh I don't think that guest is Kumi, the hair colour doesnt match and the outfit also is very not what she's been wearing lately. It's still possible of course, but I wouldn't put much hope into that.

Well, yeah, you need a Hulu account and have to buy a ticket for Kuu's stream.
Hulu Japan only works with a Japanese VPN and you can only buy a ticket with a Japanese credit card, others don't work. A Japanese fan I follow on Insta made a poll, who's going to the live, who's watching on Hulu and who's not able to watch at all. And the vast majority can't watch at all even from her Japanese fans. She also tagged Kuu, so that she can see the result. Together with Kuu knowing Hulu Japan only working in Japan it's a good sign for getting a release of the event. Btw. I'm quite suprised how it's handled. They're not doing a standing area before the stage like usual for Zepps, it's all seated. But there's no distance between the seats, it's fully packed from the front till the back, even more so as it's sold out. They do have other restrictions like wearing masks the whole time, using the Covid app and more, but nevertheless. We can actually pay with PayPal or electronic money as well ^^ actually as I’m looking into it I could have bought a Hulu ticket credit from the convenience store.
But my thing is I wish we could buy a ticket without using hulu. There are musicians that do that and I feel avex could make more money that way. Anyway I didn’t want to sign up for an account because I don’t want tv that much regardless. |

Or I'd have bought a ticket for sure. Avex has their own streaming site with mu-mo and used plenty of other options till now as well. It's just that they made that deal with Hulu probably, why they put it up there this time. The deal includes past concerts of a majority of avex artists being up for streaming there. So i just seems to be a part of a major deal. |
