Wow, watched it earlier on and was very surprised at the level of English, she did very well. I'm just wondering how much of that was memorised and how much was spur of the moment. Still, she was able to put her point across well.

i read the thread, but i'm not absolutely sure so i will ask: the show was only aired once, right? so it will be aired again saturday morning GMT 4:30? because on the cnn page they wrote 16:30 on friday the second time...

According to my tv planner (SKY) it will be repeated again at 4:30am Sat (GMT).

It will repeat at different timings.. you will need to check on your channel's timetable

Nice interview :) Shame they didn't show more of the new PVs, as they talked briefly about Secret. I was surprised they didn't show the album cover in some way. Nice to finally see some footage of the (m)u tour, won't be able to get the DVD for a while.

She confirmed an Asia Tour for 2007 between March and June. :)

I also noticed she was wearing the same shoes at the Panasonic press conference and at the interview. xD

Hearing Ayu speak that much English was a crazy shock. I had no idea that she spoke it that well. I thought she only knew a few words. Her English-speaking voice truly could not be any cuter. I had to pause it quite a few times because my squeels made it so I couldn't hear her speaking :)

First thing came across my mind when I was watching the interview was the relation between her mum and her. It reminds me of one of her interviews in early days. Somehow,I remember she referred her mum as a "strange".

It seems that the relationship between her and her Mom has changed for the better. In her early days, she did not have nearly as high an opinion of her.

At the moment when I heard her say the first few words of English ("yeaaah, it'sa calleda Secret, becose..."), I thought I was hearing Ms. Swan from MADtv doing the dubbing. LOL.

I really appreciate her for taking the risk to speak English. It was pretty good nevertheless.

WOW, when she spoke english, ayu looked and sounded just like my japanese friend when he speaks english. Limited vocabulary but understandable!

I just finished watching part 2 of the interview on youtube... OMG! that was amazing!?

You know, it's really funny/weird, but the woman interviewing Ayu is my friend's sister's friend. :P

Ayu's English is great :yes I liked watching the interview :D

It was a very interesting thing seeing Ayumi speak sentences in English. It seemed to me that she was also being asked the questions in Japanese between cuts for the harder questions (there was a man seated somewhat behind the interviewer).

But also, for interviews like this, the celebrities have to ok the types of questions asked so Ayumi probably had time to prepare her English vocab for her responses.

I loved hearing Ayumi Hamasaki speak in english.. All of her answers were very nice, and her pronunciation was actually perfect which surprised me a lot hehe. Some of the words she kind of muttered a little silently so it may have been hard for people to understand her, but I thought it was great. I loved hearing that she would play her music anywhere if people would listen to it.

I just felt so proud watching the clips of Ayumi playing in the background while the interview was going on. Did anyone else just feel happy listening to her answer questions for the interviewer? The questions seemed kind of general, but the woman just seemed attentive, and interested. I just loved this interview, Ayumi will always be the best.
