SHe still looks gorgeus. She is great as usual, but, this time onlly, I don't understand the whole concept of this pv, so i'll give it a C(+). Sorry Ayu, even though some says it has really deep meaning, but I couldnt understand it no matter how hard I try

I think 2003-2004 was her PV year in term of how it looked artistically. I dunno, The trilogy, M, Evolution, Dearest, and Endless sorrow wasn't THAT interesting to watch... I'm rambling. I wish they really could get a movie director as well, because I noticed she either tend to get directors that focuses a lot on the story aspect but the visuals would lack a bit and vice versa. And movie director tend to combine both... |
someone should make Idealist's POST a sperate thread...IT NEEDS ATTENTION!!

Jeez it's not that bad. Haven't you guys watched Born to Be...? :|

^ yeah I completely, Ayu fans now really high expectations of her because of all the great stuff she released in the past. haha we're all spoilt =P
|
anyway,
I've shown the PV to some of my friends who are not a fans of ayu... they kind of like the PV... and they said it's just cool~ |

I've watched the PV yesterday, and I think that isn't not good but much better than "glitter/fated" mini-movie.
The PV reminds me of "STEP you" but in six different sides of Ayu-chan. |

Actually after I have read the interpretation, I really loved the PV of Mirrorcle World! But that bit where ayu rips her coat.. Her expression is so funny!! XDD Cannot stop laughing every time I watch it! XD |
I LOVED IT like every other ayu pv
ITS REALLY.. erm.. cool? i dunno im speechless.. been speechless for the past 15 minutes -.- |
who said WHATEVER PV was the worst eva??? it's great, because there's really a plot in it that fits the lyrics ;)
Trust wasn't baaaad to my mind too... but I agree about Born to Be though...:yes or Startin? looked quite cheap and crappy, but I love the Pv and the song lol :P EDIT: Distance Love was better because it looked as a one of these j-doramas, plus, it had the sweet Shawn, aww :luv2.......and it was directed very well :yes |

Then again, I'm all for sappy and cliche plots because I've seen one too many chick flicks :laugh |
A little Alterna-ish - the intro
Overall I like it... but as usual I dun really get the pv |
I like the PV. It's really interesting. It has sexy parts, fierce parts, and funny parts, to me. :P And I noticed similar themes from Evangelion, especially the part where she asks if she should leave her body, or stay in it (trapped). Everybody needs to go read Idealists' interpretation of the PV, because as soon as I did, I made wayyy more connections than just that one similar theme of Eva. The PV is really a lot more interesting than it looks at first glance, and gets better with every watch (which is exactly like Neon Genesis Evangelion). You see more when you watch it again. Hear more. Notice more.
It did have quite the few funny parts - I especially laugh when Ayu trots away in her gigantic red dress (after dropping the hankerchief). It's hilarious :laugh But it also had a couple really great parts - I absolutely LOVE it when she moves her jacket's collar from her face and the sound of a mirror cracking/breaking is heard, and the expression of her face is priceless. You can definitely tell she was in a good mood, having a great time filming in Paris. :D And then the rest of the PV picks up and is even more awesome, all the way until the end. Anyway, if you hate the PV, try reading the interpretation, it might help you to understand it more. Or maybe since I've always just been interesting in the whole singularity theory thing, I'm biased towards this PV. |

People are never satisfied with ayu. If ayu ayu says "Pink", we say "Meh, why not blue?. If ayu says "Blue", we are like "Gosh, why not pink". If ayu says, "Pink and Blue", we reply "Green would have been much better" Poor ayu. IMO all the stuff she releases is HQ. Yet people treat her recent stuff like ****. "But ayu doesn't sound like in 2001 :cry" WOOT! guess what? time also passes by ayu. And i would like to know about one artist who still sounds like she sounded 10 years ago. Quote:

The clip is soo great! I love her acts and the Paris Style!
I love the scene with the doves that flied by Ayumi in the red dress. And I love the scene with the Telephone Cel! Feather nails rule!| Yeah, this was not the best, but one of the greatest PV's I think. |

With the talkin' 2 myself pv, people were like "waah, too much dance, she has short hair, the dancers are too prominent". This is completely opposite, there is no dance, she has long hair and her dancers are nowhere to be seen. Still not good enough. |
I thought this was a brilliant PV after looking at it a second time. In my opinion, all of her previous PV's seemed as if they all led up to this one.
So, I'm really going for imagery rather than symbolism. I'm not good at that sort of thing. Spoiler:
So, right now, I'd give it and 8.5 or a 9 out of 10. |
Really deep I guess. Again, Paris and Ayu were so pretty!

On another note, ayu's fierce face was so funny that it forced me to make a new avatar. Rawr |
I LOVED t2m, probably one of my favorite pvs by her ever, so naturally I'd hate this one XD
|
I really liked the PV! I mean, sure there wasn't much plot to it or whatever... But Ayu looked amazing!
Except I really thought something different for the slow, dreamy part where she's just singing... The version in my head would have been so much better than the "alterna" head singing there... :/ |
I have to say that I'm really not impressed with this PV. I was expecting something fun and imaginitive like we saw in 'Together when...' and 'Marionette'...but that...well...it was pretty boring...I mean what was the theme, secret agent escape O.o? I just think it was awful other than her glamorous outfits (as usual), but nice costumes don't make a PV good -they just help it really. So yeah, I don't have much to say...maybe I was just expecting too much? I can't get over that some people are actually saying this is one of her best PVs, but ah well, I guess it's just my opinion.
Oh and another thing, Ayu was too dramatic in her movements and lipping...it was a little funny xD |
I really loved this pv! I really liked how Ayu did a lot of exaggerated arm movements and such, and I think that all the different parts of the video went very well together. :love
|
^ yea...but after reading Idealist's interpretation...i like the pv more...juz that the meaning behind the pv is much harder to understand than "Together when..." and "Marionette"...she relies more on the lyrics to convey her message in this pv
|
^ It doesn't help this time for me. I just don't like it period. No offense.
|
^ its ok...people have diff views abt this pv....the 1st time i watch i was really confused and kind of disappointed too...having this "So...the pv is like that?" kind of thought
|
I think the PV is pretty good. Not the best video ever and certainly not the worst. Looks like she is just having a good time with a secret agent, Parisian thief theme. Like an old movie. I dont think anyone can take her expressions seriously. As aware as Ayu is of her image, she had to know what she was doing. I think its supposed to be over the top and stylish, like Bold & Delicious was and to an extent Startin, which was a complete parody of everything bright and flashy.
It appears she went for tiny influences from different sources like the Matrix and old movies. If you have ever watched old black and white movies then you know how over the top the acting and expressions are and underlying sexuality in them. After all of the PV's for Guilty like Talkin 2 Myself, Decision, Marionette and Together When, she just wanted a silly PV and to hangout in Paris for a bit. Everything can't have a deep meaning and be all flashy. As for bad PV's lets look at Angel's Song and Born to Be. Does anyone have any idea what superhero werewolves and bank robbers have to do with anything?! Greatful Days was pretty bad as well. Alligators, raves and motorcycles crashing through windows. She just has fun and goes for it. As for being too sexy, she is almost 30, I think she's allowed to show an arm or a leg. If she was bouncing around like a 12 year old and speaking in her squeaky voice, then I would be worried. All in all, good song and good PV, if take you it for what it is. Just one fan's opinion. |
^ I wish it was intentional, but then what was her excuse in don't leave me alone?
|

I can't begin to even IMAGINE her LIVES to this song. :P Yup, you're definitely GONNA get more OVER-REACTING AYU! To a VERY large extent! Teeth-gritting, pseudo-fierce looks! Mwhahaha, gotta love it! :love AND BEST OF ALL: http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/custom...tar13109_2.gif Woots! Tarot Warrior, your avatar simply ROCKS MY SOCKS! |
wow 17 pages of crap.
not even gonna bother reading it. probably 95% of it will just piss me off. I just think some of you are being over critical when you haven't even tried to understand the pv, and being petty over trivial matters after missing the more important things. Ayu, and this PV, deserve MUCH more credit. if you can't see that, then it's a shame, but I'm not gonna read any more of your thoughtless whinings. |
Am I the only one finding it ironic that when she sings "It's no time to play a victim and run", she starts running away (in her red dress)? XD

I finally saw the PV! Well, there's a lot of things I like and a few I don't.
WHAT I LIKED: - All the outfits Ayu wore were REALLY nice. - Ayu looked gorgeous in all the scenes. - I love the scenery, especially the phone booth part! WHAT I DON'T LIKE: - The scene with the trench coat... She her movements and facial expressions were too exaggerated. Kinda like her movements and facial expression in "talkin' 2 myself"... It kinda ruined that part. Overall, the PV was actually really good compared to a lot of the recent PVs she has released. I just think the PV was a bit random... And yes, I did read the interpretation that was posted. But an interpretation and just an interpretation. It doesn't mean that it's what the director of this PV meant to do. I don't really think the PV is all that deep. |

And thanks to everyone who like my signature. :D |

i just thought she looked cool like that~ |
it's okay. i thought the red dress scene was super random.
|

But maybe the lives could be super fun. She like invites the audience to make big Fierce looks or drags a few of them on stage and they have to power walk as exageratedly as possible to win a prize or something. Hey, if she can make us Para-Para to Trauma and MY ALL... |
I didn't like Ayu's music after her MY STORY album, but this song itself is pure awesome. However, the PV wasn't. To me, it didn't fit the song well at all.
|
i didn't like it at the beginning... but the analysis made sense. I think that atleast it is different from the repetitive comment of "random"
she's really overacting tho. :( I'm worried about how well mirrorcle world will do... but its deep. It really is. |
