I downloaded Ashita when it came out because I was intrigued by the name, but I never really listened to it till I saw the third alan thread start, and I decided to listen and get some suggestions, and the rest is history~

awesome . The 1st proper single I heard of her was Sora Uta . I didn't like Ashita at 1st & it doesn't help matters that MTV Taiwan was only playing snippets of the PV where she yodels which made my hair stand :dead2

I was browsing through One Word Garden because the blogger reviews Ayu's albums and singles in a way that entertains me and saw a person named alan. At first, I really didn't care for Ashita E no Sanka because the verses are so boring but really like Sakura Modern so I kinda kept with her releases. Sora Uta is the song that really pulled me into her talent.

The ones Karen posted from a site that were on sale. lol I treated myself basically. No one would get them for me, so I had to buy, plus they were so darn cheap! They came in the mail on Monday. Some of the promo pics to them are simply lovely :heart

I just listened to her song from the movie Red Cliff, and I think I've become a fan. :) (I just realized her eyes are HUMONGOUS. Jesus Christ. Not surprised to hear she's of Tibetan descent.)

does anyone notice that alans voice sounds so much better when she's singing in Chinese? usually i don't like the chinese language, but alan sings it so beautifully. :thud i don't know what's with her singing japanese, it sounds good but not as beautiful as her chinese songs

i still say it's because she's more comfortable singing in chinese, she have more confidence in the language

Mandarian pronounciation is more like Chi Bay (the i in Chi is pronunced a bit lightly i think) and Catonese is Chek Bik, but yeah im in love with the song too

alan's official site finally fixed the Gunjou no Tani links. Appearantly they're going to shoot Gunjou's music clip in Sichuan because of its beauty.

^They already did the clip though, Gunjou's like all done, which is why the release date is so agonizing far away.
