Well, I'm not sure if the number is true and what the number actually means (aggregate income without taking off the amount Ayu spends? The amount Ayu actually has? The amount she has earned in total not counting what goes to Avex and what goes to her?) But I'm sure Ayu IS very rich. And I suspect that at least Ayu's label pays artists the % in which they earn from what they sell, and not a salary (because that wouldn't always change and make Ayu so rich.)

I'm not sure if I believe this... I mean, I definitely believe Ayu would make the list, and probably as high as she is here too, but I find it hard to believe Miley Cyrus would be richer than Hikaru Utada or Jolin Tsai, don't you?

^I don't think there are as many 12 year old girls with a free flow of cash in the US as there are citizens of Japan or Taiwan. xD I'm not too sure about Jolin Tsai, but I'd imagine Utada to be on that list. She was on par with Ayu in all the Japanese articles about who pays the most taxes up until a few years ago... and she's got the biggest selling album in Japanese history.
With Ayu not being mentioned in the articles (and I'd believe it if she was cause it's Forbes), I'd say Ayu was never part of this article and it was only conducted on artists popular in the US (because the US always disregards things that aren't popular there.) Then someone saw the list, figured if they included Asian artists, Ayu would definitely have been in there (which she would've) and then posted it online. :P |

The articles don't even show all time honestly so technically its kind of out of nowhere. Although I don't see anyone elsebeing richer than ayu in asia unless they're waay older. And yes miley cyrus makes money from A LOT of things so its no surprise....let's see: An extremely popular tv show A couple movies Innumerable amount of merchandise that people do buy Her albums and such Her tv show dvds Her label contract or whatever Her concerts (here in my area those tickets sold out in basically one refreshing of the site...so it mnade the news cuz people were complaining there kid couldn't go) She has a clothing line apparently Her concert was shown in theatres in 3D And some of her songs have become popular to people other than kids And trust me these parents will pay for that hannah montana and miley stuff (kids from the age like 3-12 or higher. Its a lot of kids) I don't think all that money is counted just from her music career Miley DOES have a ton of money and its no surprise she would make this list. She's a money machine...like ayu... Utada maybe if she did more stuff...and idk about jolin...and even ayu still has much higher total sales than hikki. She's had her share of million selling albums/singles blah blah but in a shoter time period. |

I wouldn't be surprised with these numbers, but I do think it's fake, mostly because (although this was a couple of years back so not entirely accurate) I once read an article on the richest women in the world, the top three being Oprah, J.K. Rowling, Madonna and Celine Dion so seeing her be that far down on the list makes me doubt it..

Another thing... this is supposedly based on Forbes magazine. When has Ayumi been in Forbes magazine? I've never heard of them featuring Ayu on any of their lists. o.O

I think they must have doctored the numbers or something, because last time I checked Madonna was only worth $500 Million and Ayu was only worth like $100 million. And where is Paris hilton? She technically counts as a singer. I'm sure she's worth like a good $300 million or something.
And there is no way in hell that Miley Cyrus is worth $100 million. The ***** can't even buy a ****ing pair of panties to put on before she gets out of a car. It's more like Disney get's $100 million from Miley while she gets $7 for her trouble. |
