Shimizu Shota's homecoming attracts 3,000 Osakans

Singer Shimizu Shota (23) gave a free live concert for 3,000 fans to commemorate the release of his new album “Naturally” (3/21) on March 18 in Osaka Castle Park.

The city is a special place for Shimizu, who is a native of Osaka, as he often performed in the area during his amateur days before his major label debut in March 2008. The concept of his new album is “returning to ones roots,” and following that theme, the performance was a homecoming for the singer after exactly four years.

Shimizu performed “The Day” from his new album, “HOME,” and others in a 4-song mini-concert, and stated “Osaka, you are the best!” Despite the threat of rain, approximately 3,000 people gathered in the park shouting “Okaeri!” or “Welcome home!” to which he said, “I will return again!”

luckily I kept my expectations for Naturally low because it's not as good as COLOURS imo :O

The 1st few album tracks are quite boring D: but at least the latter part of the album is much better if not cooler

Tonight is really interesting & Shota sang it in full English which I'm able to understand his dictation pretty well

I almost got a shock when I heard Overflow as Shota really went falsetto overload xD

dont say that, I hope its not boring x_x 'cause its not like many jsingers make quality rnb, he's my last hope lol

edit: I heard the album now. not just boring, plain, forgetable and goes nowhere. I really didnt like it. I liked only 3 songs from the album :( Gamble, Tonight and ofcourse マダオワラナイ. Only me, only you and The day had potential but I didnt feel them :(

Im sad.

I really love this album, so smart using The Day for promo,that is song is perfect <3

Shota's not the only good/talented R&B male artiste around you know xD

There's also his BFF Matsushita Yuya (I still can't believe they used to form a band before going solo idk xD) , Ken Hirai , EXILE's ATSUSHI & so many others

If you're more open to try new acts , then why not ?

Anyway I already ordered my copy of Naturally in CD + DVD earlier on <3 . Hopefully it will get shipped out later today if not next Mon !

It's gonna be hard for Shota to top Journey and COLORS.

Shimizu Shota holds acoustic live for adults in their 30’s

On March 21st R&B singer Shimizu Shota released his fourth album “Naturally“. To commemorate the release, he invited and performed for a demographic of adults in their 30’s.

Shota was the one who came up with the idea so that fans that are older, can drink alcohol and at the same time enjoy music.

The live was held in a room with no stage and performed with a piano, guitar, and percussion, making it an acoustic live. To set the mood of the performance, Shota collaborated with candle company Candle JUNE.

He performed a total of 6 songs, with “The Day” as the lead song.

You should check out Tonight , it's the only full English track in Naturally

Shota's English dictation is surprisingly good . I also like Only me , Only you with it being so smooth & Jazz driven
