I think it would be more weird if she didn't sweat at all o.O wtf... she's a dancer o.O

Yeah, its sad cause Ayu used to have some of the best PVs in the business. But honestly Ayu's PV quality has been going down for a looong time now. I think one of the main differences is probably that Ayu continues to value working with the people that are close to her but those people aren't necessarily the ones that are best for the job.

Like everyone else, I love YEAH-OH. The PV looks great, the choreography is refreshing, and her English is actually some of the best I've heard from a Japanese artist.

btw, I'm starting to get the feeling that there will be no album. With this being her 20th Anniversary I can totally see Avex releasing a 3-cd greatest hits or something and it would include all these latest singles.

Maemi 16th March 2012 11:57 AM

^ That's what I'm afraid of too :(

Totally agree, I think there will be 20th Anniversary Best, which i(hopelessly) hope that she will re-master some of her old hits with her current vocal. But anyway a new studio alb is much better <3

P/s, alittle out of Namie's topic, I saw Timmy every where in Ayu's new PVs, and that's for me the main cause of her going-down quality, also there're always too much things&people in Ayu's PVs, EVERYTIME, it feels like she's always tried/wanted to make her PV looks like a grand product, and actually it fails imo (example NaNaNa and Return Road)

I ws sort of starting to hope for a "singles' compilation best" with a few new tracks tossed, I don't really want an album without most of my fav songs from her recent singles. Since I don't have most of her stuff on CD I wouldn't mind an "all time compilation", but I'd prefer a regular album tbh.

I like ayu's latest efforts, but I think the same can be said to a certain extent for her music as well. Namie's recent stuff, even if not all of it is my kind of music, is probably some of the most interesting mainstream pop music in japan right now. It sounds up to date, but still fresh, interntional yet it's not cookie cutter generic. I think most of her recent tracks could've easily been released anywhere had they been translated into the relevant languages and shortened a bit (as j songs are too long for most other markets) SHe's working with different people from across the planet which probably explains it.

I also came to the "possible" conclusion that Avex could release, yet another, compilation album. But I would rather have an original studio album in all honesty. Time will tell...:yes

toniayu 16th March 2012 06:50 PM

I don't care about a new original studio album or a new compilation album.I think it would be amazing to release a singles collection including all her singles and some new songs,it would be expensive though xD
New compilation album FICTION -2012- *O* 3CD+3DVD I would love it

aloopy 16th March 2012 06:58 PM

Namie should release a remix album. I have been waiting for years for one :(

I'd rather have a new album. We got a compilation last year, I want some more new material!

lfe. 16th March 2012 09:43 PM

You kinda get the sense with the uptempo, dance beat of YEAH-OH that Namie is leaning towards recent trends in mainstream Western music. Everything in Western music either has a dance beat to it or a trance artist remixing it. You have Usher teaming up with David Guetta, Flo Rida teaming up with Avicii, etc etc. It'd be cool if she could do something of the same, maybe make an official amura trance remix album featuring all the mainstream DJs like Avicii, Van Buuren, Tiesto.

Though I can totally see avex releasing a compilation album to commemorate (and cash in) on Namie's 20th anniversary. I don't know how they can make one though, we've only had one album since Best Fiction and a bunch of singles.

everlastingRAINBOW 16th March 2012 09:51 PM

Yeah, I think it'd be silly to release one unless it is more of like a mini album+compilation. Maybe 5 or 6 new tracks (then again, if she did do this, it would just be like all the new singles + album tracks, so just an album with lots of singles before hand xD). But as I've said, original album please! Though I also love the idea of a remix album, I'm not gonna lie :laugh

aloopy 16th March 2012 10:14 PM

She's managed by Vision Factory though, not by avex

If she does release a best album I hope it's gonna include her older hits as well (like A COMPLETE that Ayu did) and i also hope the songs will have different mixes/arrangements/vocals etc, like she did with Love Enhanched.

Still crossing my fingers for a 18+-track original album, or a 2 disc album though. :P:P

kotora 16th March 2012 10:46 PM

I would be trisexual for Namie after watching Yeah-Oh PV.

Wait what, since when? How did she get the VS deal? Because of her extensions?

Edit: I want a bside collection!!!

AVEX released A-Complete shortly after A-BEST 2, so I definitely think its in the realm of possibility. Since its 20 years it would be a compilation spanning her whole career with the last disc being all the singles she has released since Break It + some new songs. Honestly, that's probably what a new original album would look like anyways judging by the number of singles and b-sides she has right now.
