Oh! That does seem to be a rather different thing, though...? Cool, though. Was it the same creative team?

But her hair is dark brown/black... that was a dark blonde.

That's pretty far off imo. Was it even Ayu's/Shimoko/Fumichan's intention to make it look like a proper kaleidoscope? TEDx's obviously is supposed to since they have 2x as many (or even more) dancers to create a more dramatic effect.

The same technique was definitely used though. (Mirrors + the moving conveyor)

Thank you for saying this.

Ugh, I want to throw up... Ayumi is NOT LIKE THEM! Ayu has HER OWN THING and they have theirs. Next we should compare her to fire hydrant. How silly of all.

As I said in other threads, MELODY is awesome.

I agree with you.

AyuGAME 24th January 2013 06:45 AM

but definitely we need to agree that the concept and creative idea is same...just different execution...

i hope it's not affecting the way people watch the PV

thanks for sharing the full version of PV~
it's quite good!!! I love the concept.
there should be some meanings behind the PV.
that's what I expect in ayu PV.

joshohhhhh 24th January 2013 07:59 PM

average video and a below average song imo

ストロボ・EdGE 24th January 2013 09:29 PM

I love this song, and it kind of reminds me of YOU.

Simple doesn't have to be banal, and that's what I get from this song and PV.

Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't their intention. I feel like if they're going to commit to a concept as intricate as a kaleidoscope, they should execute it well.

The PV is still interesting and creative, but having seen the TEDx version, I can't help but to compare the two in terms of execution.

out of the two mini "albums" that came out, Melody is by far my favorite song. it's so classic ayu. i imagine it being on the MY STORY album if i could classify it. anyway, and i like that the video has an artsy concept instead of a literal one but it was very... how you say... raw... fluid maybe?? i think it was meant to be that way and not so rigid like the other one (which is very impressive in itself, don't get me wrong) but i don't think ayu or the director was going for that. the song is slow and therapeutic and for it to be perfectly choreographed i think would make it out of the place. but comparitively, yeah FoOby said it, dollar store version...bahahaha!

and yes a total TO BE throwback. loooove it!

asagarichan 26th January 2013 09:20 AM

thanks!
