I love Ayu to death but for the past few years, I have not even thought about her music until the album actually came out. Even so, i'd like 1-3 songs tops, play them out within a few days, and be bored again. She repeats the exact same formula every album. She really needs to do something NEW.

Yes it stopped charting unfortunately.
Love again's so far the 7th best selling album by a solo female (and 3rd original) this year. Though it will go down to 8th with namie's new album xD
Mika's last album sold less than 1,000 more.
1st WILL BE namie 2nd matsutoya yuming's compilation 3rd is MISIA's compilation 4th is nana mizuki, 5th and 6th YUI's compilations and 7th's Mika's with 200 more copies.

Except for Namie at the moment, Female solo artists in Japan are in general in a pretty much bad shape, doesn't matter quality, quantity whatever.

YUI's compilations also outsold ayu's album just by a few thousands. At Least ayu could get close with an original album.

LOVE again, and ayu's sales in general, always astonish with its sales xD when we all thought it won't reach 90k and only would sell 89k it stop charting just one step before the 89k xDD

We can discuss in this thread how it affects ayu, if people think her state is bad specifically or solo female wise generally and related stuff =) (Though it is kind of both in my opinion even though in reality she is not really in a "poor" state lol)

^Yeah even though her sales aren't stellar as well, and she is a way newer and "fresh" solo female act. Kana might as well if she releases an album but kana dropped fast after toLOVE. ...

Yeah, I'm concerned how well Ayu can last if these weak numbers continue...

No, I mean, total sales overall. I think she sold 400k more or less last year, so she might be around 500~600k now, right?
