This happens when you are a legend! I'm so happy! <3 I mean this is charting #1 for two weeks after 14 years. who could!?

...I hope people realise by now that it's mostly due to the fact that it's being sold for 711 yen.

It happened last year with A SUMMER BEST and even then people also made a big deal about it lol.

It could be sold for 100 yen, if people would not be interested on her, it wouldn't chart at #1 by two weeks in a roll. Shizuka Kudo's best costs the same 771 yen and it's #5 today (already excellent position)

But they have discounts for a lot of best albums, it just means that A BEST is one of japan's favorite best albums =)

Yeah, that's right, but the discount price isn't the same for all Bests.
Ayu's and e.g. the one from TRF (also Shuizka Kudo's), which are in front, have the smallest price from the ones I checked. Kobukoro's e.g. is still above 1000 Yen like some others. So the reason is more, they're generally popular artists and have a good price at the moment. :laugh
Every Little Thing is impressive - still over 2000 Yen and having a great position nevertheless.

It's still great despite the price cut...that's like £5 or $7US...most albums are discounted to that kinda price on iTunes after 2 or 3 years of release. Hell, even some new albums on some digital sites are discounted to less during their first month of release.

Also..I see it made it to number 6 on the monthly chart for August..if it continues to sell like this..she's easily going to be top 5 or even top 3 for September.

2nd hand CD shop/auctions sell way lower than that. But ppl still prefer digital download. IMO that's something awesome.

The site just updated the daily for the 8th and she's still number one :) Somehow Ariana nearly fell out of the top 10 lol.

U know we are talking about dozens of copies. It is good it's number one, but that's about it.
