Oh hell yes I can. Recordings are even more reliable than actual live because during the show the sound is too loud and you are distracted by the visuals. Recordings show all flaws. After attending so many concerts I have a very good idea about her vocal abilities.

Poor Ayu. If she has laryngitis it can stick around for up to 2 weeks. I often lose my voice for 2-3 weeks when I get it. I hope she has time to rest her body and her vocals, she does too much.

I don't think they'll cancel just one concert. There's no way she can recover in time for the other ones.

I just had a terrible bronchitis and it took me over 2 weeks to recover. I can't imagine someone going through that and still pulling a concert..

If she does cancel the rest of the tour, do they have recordings of the previous concerts to make the DVD?

No you can't. Let's take Curtain call for example.

It's one of the songs she had a great vocals in and the sound wasn't too loud and what visuals exactly distracts anyone is such a song, especaily when you are not in the front rows and can't see ayu just near you?
The verses in songs like Real me or In The Corner are not so loud as well and she did great singing them.

She DOES shout or can't hit notes from time to time but regardless she still sounded great during most of that show.
And I still don't understand how can recordings be more reliable. Visuals and loudness has to do nothing with it. On the contrary, recordings can be so distorted that it can sound worse than it really is.

But anyway, that's not something I'm going to argue from my experience. From what I heard on that evening, her vocals were pretty good. Others are welcome to have their own opinions. :)

I think ayu is just one of the ones who needs to be in the right condition, she does have some things which lead to her voice being not 100%, like her ear, and her over working effort, which she will usally get ill now once a year from overworking. But she even was improving, with her vocal training. But phone recodings are never something to go by. Yes shes not 100% perfect, but shes no where near as bad as she sounds in phone recodings, recoding a song from the tv or the radio with your phone, its sounds just as bad, and you dont go saying how terrible that person sounds just from a phone record :P

Yeah, people from the other Nagoya dates said she did not sound good, so this isn't really a surprise. I doubt only this date will be canceled though. I'm scheduled for one of her shows in November, so I guess we will have to wait and see what happens.

Next show will be on Halloween. I had big hopes for it. Maybe she was going to wear something interesting...

She could just add the extra date in November, similar to last year.

But she needs to be careful her voice, it is her asset to make money.

Even Beyonce has to be careful her voice.

I personally think it would be better for her to cancel all the shows and focus on the Countdown Live coming up. This way she can heal from her illness, heal her voice, re-energize, and really prepare for the show.
I really don't want another Made In Tokyo.:(

Maybe it's time for her to stop this 3 tours in a year thing :( It went bad last year (with her pneumonia) and it's happening again this year. Hope she take care of her!
