Loved it!

koumori 26th August 2020 04:12 PM

Her vocals were so good, and the dancer outfits were amazing! She really stood out in the FNS roster :heart :weep So so happy she was able to perform this year

I'm happy!

She does best when it's pre-recorded.

YUKARI 26th August 2020 04:13 PM

unfortunately I'm not impressed by her performance :( her voice was shaky, her hairstyle was weird (she should have put more volume in her extensions). and I don't lilke her middle-aged dancers...

Katsuyuki012 26th August 2020 04:13 PM

What a day to be an Ayu fan! :heart

maxikot 26th August 2020 04:14 PM

How many times can ayu slay me in one day? Infinite! This is very much an ayu day ^^

Chris_Duvall 26th August 2020 04:14 PM

It was quite good indeed!

Evan Odinson 26th August 2020 04:15 PM

Great performance!

voltron 26th August 2020 04:16 PM

I love that the stage was so deep, so having all the dancers didn't feel quite so crowded as usual. It's really nice to see her on TV again.

njanjayrp 26th August 2020 04:17 PM

The performance was alright, it ended before it actually started somehow.

It's the best current Ayu can do. At least she wasn't pitchy and most screaming was in You & Me. Baby voice should be banned though. Imagine if it were live, it would be way worse.

Sweet Japanese tradition to cut the hell out of each song...

Aderianu 26th August 2020 04:21 PM

why did she start with a cute voice?

Because it's a new normal for her.

I think it's a form of vocal control for herself. Her cords are damaged and she does her best.

I think she did fantastically and I'm still processing us getting this performance and the PV for Dreamed a Dream on the same day :tipsy

Deep snow 26th August 2020 04:24 PM

so pleased with the performance! her voice was stable as hell for her current state, in my opinion, and she seems to deliver the chorus very comfortably instead of shouting things! wow. a performance that I really like *and* a new PV that I also really like? what a wonderful evening for this ayu fan :luv2

Naaaah, she can do better! She wasn't really trying to control herself and that why she screamed here and there, she doesn't have to sing like that :D
On the other hand I am happy we've all come to terms with the way she sings xD

YUKARI 26th August 2020 04:25 PM

her voice sounds flat when she tries to make it cute T_T

well at least I'm glad to see her on TV! and it's really cool they put her between BTS and Arashi :)

She speaks that way too. Just saying. She's just trying to be cute and sound young/closer to her former voice IMO and it became a habit.

In our dreams I'm afraid.

She's always spoken like that, but incorporating it into her singing is usually during moments of strain. :) Unless she says herself that she does it only to be cute and to sound younger, I'm going to assume she slips into it when trying to control her voice as well. It's no coincidence this vocal habit began being used more as her ears got worse.
