Namie's decision feels definite if not she would have still at least kept her online website up & running instead of shutting everything down

Also I think Namie does not miss being in the limelight cos she started out so young in showbiz

And in the process she had to grow up extremely very fast while weathering a lot of personal struggles which the Japanese press played a part in not helping matters

Back then social media did not exist & I can't imagine how things would be like if Namie went through the same things then right now :s

Yeah, it's nothing more than rumors and gossip really.

Remember when it was initially rumored that she would become a producer/manager and that her son was getting ready for his imminent debut :roflmao

If anything, I think the situation is probably more of someone in Korea offered her money for a private performance, like Beyonce being offered 25 million recently to give a private performance in Dubai, but Namie most likely declined/didn't even respond lol.

I would love if she decides to produce someday, because if any, she had an eye/ear for it

Only missing a few singles from Uncontrolled onwards and the fanclub edition of break the rules tour. Otherwise I own everything

I don't have any physical singles, only everything else, all long format releases (albums and best ofs)
I've got some digital singles of newer non-album tracks though

For her albums I have all except Uncontrolled and genic. I have to get them someday.

SUITE CHIC is a god send album start to finish. Rarely seen from such a big act in Jpop.

Both reddit and arama users posted that song as "omg namie is producing right now" and I was like what?? Luckily did a quick search and saw that it's a glitch :(

Although the idea of Namie only producing in the background would be kinda cool

The AI idiots are seriously spreading like a virus. I follow Namie hashtag on insta, and there’s this person creating AI generated images of her, from which quite a lot are borderline nudes, or in very suggestive poses and lingerie. They go by therealvoyeur on there.

I swear to god this AI crap is a pervs paradise, and none is doing anything about it. Zero respect to her and her image. The person doesn’t really care about it either, they’re fine with people disagreeing and telling it’s wrong, but they themselves don’t seem to see a problem with it.

I hate this planet more often than I’d like to.

I’ve seen it done with Ayu too but it wasn’t borderline Playboy stuff, like this is. And still I find it really creepy that people think generating images of someone without their knowledge is perfectly fine.

Don't blame the *technology* when its *users* misuse it. And people have historically *always* found ways to use technology in ways it was never intended. And the technology exists now. If you try out outlaw it, it's still going to be in the outlaws' hands.

What's creepy(ier) is when people do it for regular, "ordinary" people. I think most celebrities of superstar status have concluded it's something that comes with the territory (no matter how bad one may think that can be). But everyday folks?

People may not agree with this, but IMO, when your private photos leak out, now you have some plausible deniability that didn't exist before. "That's not me, that's AI-generated".

And as you alluded to, it was happening long before the recent explosion of AI apps.

I'm not condoning it or trying to justify any of it. Just sharing my own opinion.
