I want to amend my post to note that some songs with chinese and japanese tags are going through, while some aren't. Looks like it's a problem only with certain characters. :shrug

^ There's a v0.2 plugin available on the last.fm forums. It's still a beta, but maybe it will fix your problem.

I'm wondering, how does the most listened to 'album' thing works. Does it actually recognises an original CD you pop into your computer?

Could you explain that in more detail? Or do you mean only the players in which you've installed a last.fm plug-in. Because I've downloaded the last.fm player, but couldnt' figure out how to get it to actually open any files.

With last.fm player you can only listen to online radio stations. You can't open mp3s or so with it. More info http://www.last.fm/radio/.
It has some cool features, but eats a lot of bandwidth.

you can use the songs from your CD's provided that you rip them, then install the plug in.. you must also make sure of the details of the song..

EDIT: Okay, I'm confused here. I've installed the WinAmp audioscrobbler plugin, but none of my music is registering under my Last.FM profile. Then I gave the AHS Radio a listen, and those tracks did show up.

I thought the point of the plugin was to keep track of what you listened to of your own music. I'm kind of confused.

You have to view the "File Info" of the songs by right clicking on it. Then fill in the details such as album name, song name, and artist name.. And you have to listen to around 60% of the song before it goes into your account. I tried recording 10 seconds clip of random sounds and labelling them as "Ayumi Hamasaki- Rainbow" but it didnt work :D .. No cheating there, hehe..
