I love the tracks! Even the previews! All of them have grown on me. I would have to agree that Beautiful Day would be a weaker track but it's still not bad after giving it a few more listens! (miss) understood is just EXCELLENT! I love how rockish it sounds! And all the other previews are really outstanding too!

I think this is going to be one of Ayu's best albums ever seriously!

this would have been a nice christmas gift for myself it came out earlier... i'd love a video for in the corner. i think thats my favourite track, 2nd to alterna.

Yes! I'm so excited. Personally I think it's her best album after "I Am...". It's a breathtaking album and I am extremely excited about it.

In The Corner sounds a bit like BoA (back when she was good). I like the strings.

criminal seems like it's going to be a longer song, I hope so. The preview sounds excellent.

Ladies Night, I can't really say anything with the minute preview. It really depends on the whole song whether I like it or not. I like the talking part at the end alot for some reason.

(miss) understood and Beautiful Day are really good. Beautiful Day reminds me of Seiko Matsuda.

I'm most impressed with her vocals on all these tracks.

In the corner sounds really nice :) i like strings! there's something familiar about it. it reminds me of namie amuro's white light (the mood, i guess)
criminal does sound similar to still alone! she sings it slowly, yet with such passion and emotion and with loud instruments at the back.
ladies night is like a song similar to the popular disco songs as of late (gwen stefani's what u waitin for, and madonna's hung up). pretty excited to listen to the whole song and see the dvd. not my fave song from the preview, but has potential
beautiful day is simple and pretty nice. this isn't as good as the other songs of the album, to be honest. it's quite cute as well
(miss)understood is like something from my story. i find it a bit repetitive, however. but it rocks
rainy day is my favorite of the album tracks (but from what i heard form in the corner, a tie b/w these 2 may occur) very relaxing, soothing and emotional.

overall, the album is amazing, just like all her other albums. the songs from the singles are all amazing, and with these pretty good album tracks, i am surely gonna be buying this :)

I figured out one thing thats wrong with the album...most tracks are no longer than 4:30 or 5:00. the previews better be long on the real thing.

what my opinion is that THE ALBUM is AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when i listened to the previews of my story, rainbow or memorial addreses i didn't feel as excited as NOW .....ohh GOD i can't wait for the album !!!!!

I'm only going to listen to the 30 sec~ish previews once, and wait to hear the whole songs when I get the album.

(miss) understood - Sounds pretty good.
Beautiful Day - Kind of bland.
Criminal - I like the sound of this one.
In the Corner - I get BoA vibes from it. Sounds okay; Ayu vocals could be better.
Ladies Night - Sounds funky, but I don't really care for it.

You don't think Western songs have a distinct sound? Ladies Night and B&D are perfect examples of western sounding songs. It's a bad thing for me because I don't really like those kinds of songs. They sound so typical and common because that's the kind of music I'm used to hearing here in the US. Songs like M, Audience, Boys & Girls and Surreal don't sound western in my opinion. I just don't hear those kinds of songs in mainstream western music. I can't bring myself to like Ladies Night , no matter how many times I listen to the 1:14 preview. Usually Ayu's songs grow on me even if I'm not really fond of them at first... but it didn't happen with B&D and it's not happening with Ladies Night (or Beautiful Day). And really, it doesn't have anything to do with having fun or not.

I suppose it is something which depends on taste. Some people might love that kind of western style while others might simply hate it.

1. In the Corner. It's a very sexy song... I can listen to Ayu's voice which is a bit deep....
2. Criminal . I dont really like this one.. I don't know..seems so plain for me..not really a special one..
3. Ladies Night . I love Ayu's voice in here.. so catchy and very lady like who loves to party... it's a 80's disco song I think.. like's madonna's
4. (Miss) Understood . And yes..this song is totally perfect...I love the part on the solo electric guitar on the second reffrain...very powerful!!!
5. rainy days - This is totally a sad song with a very deep meaning...love the PV...
6. Beautiful day . This is another lovely song... I think this song is suitable for the ending of Ayu's concert..replacing the songs, "replace", "winding road"m & "who..." or "key"...

Just to clarify, I'm not panning the whole album - just some of the album tracks. Yes, many of the single tracks are great, but if you bought all the singles(like I did), then all you really have to look forward to are the album tracks which so far sound sub-par to me compared to her past album tracks. Even the (miss)Understood song which I was sure I would love because it is a CREA composition and I have loved all of the CREA songs, didn't really stand out to me. I listened to it multiple times a few hours ago and now I can't recall what the melody is for the life of me and usually CREA comes up with some very memorable melodies. I still have hope for Criminal though.

For the millionth and one time, aren't people here allowed to not like something? I don't see why so many people seem to have a problem with those who may not like this or that track so long as their criticism isn't bashing.

It's true that it had too many excellent tracks which were singles and who bought the singles might not feel inclined to buy the album but most fans like me only but the album so all the tracks end up sounding really exciting.

I have high hopes for this album, and I still do. From what I've heard, it's very interesting:

(miss)Understood: it's a little different from the usual CREA composition, but I think it's a pleasant change.
Beautiful Day: I suspect this track is going to be like Liar to me. It's not a bad song, I just don't find it interesting.
Criminal: I have extremely high hopes for Criminal. It sound like a rock-ballad, and very emotional one.
In the Corner?: Interesting song.

js_surrealism - what you said is unfair. Some people have different tastes from you and you should accept it. Music is rather relative and what's good for me might not be for you.

I'm going to wait until I get the album to listen to it, but from what everyone says, In the Corner and criminal sound promising. 12 out of the 16 tracks will be new for me (I've only heard previews of most of the single songs and two album songs). I tend to like all Ayu songs. Though fairyland was okay in my opinion.

I don't remember reading anywhere that (miss)understood (the title track) was composed by CREA though...

For those who don't like this album at all:
Just what will you like? Haha. I'm just wondering what kind of Ayu sound you'd want, unless you'd want her to just repeat some of her previous styles lol, but then wouldn't you say that she's just using old material and that's ew? :[

Awesome new songs though!
1. In The Corner - very BOUNCEBACK-y, hm? lol Maybe not, but it's like bubblegum pop-rocks. Really reminiscent of BoA, but better. Because BoA sounds funny xD

2. Ladies Night - I like the synth-y ness! omg. The little 'doo doo doo' disco sound xD I want to hear the whole thing! I wonder who it is that's talking in that background in the preview.. could it be Yamazaki Princess Yoko?! :X lol

3. criminal - I love the strings in this. My gosh, it's so beautiful! WHY DOES THIS NOT GET A PV? lol Maybe this song is what some people perceived HEAVEN to be like..

4. (miss)understood - I love this song. It's like.. Ayu's powerful vocals [which she seems to save for her title songs..] However, it is very different from her usual compositions which usually aren't so guitarry..right? I'm not sure, I don't have my songs with me right now x.x

5. Beautiful Day - This song reminds me of another song.. from song from America... the background beat... it's so familiar. Maybe it's just the instrument. But it's a nice song to lead into Rainy day <3. I wonder if Ayu's song quality will stay this high forever <3 lol

Ayu rocks omgsh. I wonder if this is the music Ayu's been waiting to do since MY STORY lol

I dont think the album tracks were all that good. I liked (miss)understood, criminal, In the Corner & tasking and that's pretty much it. So its like... 12/16 i like. *shrug*
