Koda doesn't deserve all that promotion since she's mostly selling from her sex appeal and not actual talent. <.< But it's good to hear that Ayu still got #1 even though she had so little promotion.

so what if koda gets more promotion? from avex or any business's prospective u want to get as much profit as possible. albums cost more than singles. thats a fact. and most likely, more people will buy albums over singles. thats another fact. so its only logical for koda to have more promotion than ayu's single, so that more money can be generated. and to add on, its (yes, another) a best album. A BEST probably got about the same or even more promotion than Best~first things~/Best~second session~.
plus, techincally, koda isnt even part of the avex 'main' group. shes part of rhythm zone.

Basically, Koda is sort of talented, but she really doesn't deserve the spotlight that she does get.

I'm happy for Ayu and hope that she breaks the record and continues to set it higher.

I also agree that Kumi is probably getting more because of the fact that it's an album they're promoting. If I had to choose which to promote more, it'd be Kumi. Ayu is already established, while Kumi's fanbase is still developing, especially after her recent releases. Rhythm Zone wants to seal the deal with prospective fans, as it were.

I'm not surprised by the rankings, this single is completely on par with 'STEP you' and should do as well.

Thanks to whoever pointed it out that koda is a Rhythm Zone artist, not directly an Avex artist - more like an 'avex group' artist. RZ is avex's biggest sub-label - very few people even know that verbal and taku (m-flo) are the presidents of the subsidiary; they're getting a good chunk of this koda kumi money that everyone's talking about, even before max matsuura gets his dividends.

but i believe..really..really...believe that this single can sales very well
since i really love the content and really japanese...back to her root again...
i think koda deserve to get what she got now...she has did a lot of hard work too..although as a hard die fans of ayu...i still feel hate koda, to know that she get more promotion than ayu...
but just see what will happen in the future...i believe ayu can stay longer than koda..

It is said that the distribution has reached 300K which means the single has been ordored about 300K copies. Nice news isn't it? I think Startin'/Born To Be... will sell as well as STEP you/is this LOVE? or even better.
