I downloaded 'moments randomly in 2004 i think, listned to it occasionally, then came 'about you, and watching ayu preform hanabi live is what got me hooked! she had so much emotion in her voice =)

when i started listening to ayu and reading her lyric translations she really helped me though one of the roughest parts of my past, she said things that i diddnt know i felt until she defined it. people talk about her music being life changing and it really is amazing that one person can mean so much ^^;

It was the first song I heard from Ayu. I had extremely strange feeling when I heard Ayu for the first time. Her voice was.. weird and maybe a little bit funny. I listened only to that song from Ayu and I thought she makes only trance songs. After a month or couple I found more Ayu's songs, original ones. :P

At that time, I was watching 'Fighter' by Christina Aguilera on youtube and there were comments stating similarities with this and the 'ourselves' video. Out of curiousity, I just watched the video and... I WAS HOOKED!

Damn, the song is original and the video, except for the scene when Ayu is trapped between the two walls, is totally different from 'Fighter'!

I then watched her other videos and their artistic view and her poetic lyrics made me a fan, not forgetting 'ourselves', of course.

i first heard SEASONS but didnt care much for it.. then my bestfrend went to japan n when he came back, he showed me a video of a full show called MUSIC STATION that he recorded while he was there..

i was watchin it till i heard a song that sounds really unique n amazing.. the singers voice was squeaky n she was wearing a black dress n had blonde hair.. i ask my frend of who that girl was n he told me that shes Ayumi Hamasaki n that shes the biggest hit in Japan at that moment.. i went to my bestfrens house everyday after that, just to watch that video.. oh ya, it was Ayumi singing Surreal ;_)
