Probably in sales numbers ayu is 3rd.
But if it would be the most profit artist of the year I think it would be ayu since most of the copies her A BEST 2 albums sold are the CD+2DVD copies, and it brings a lot of cash, + the singles, the miss tour sales that got to this year, Secret sales that got to this year and next month's digital single (which we still know how it will do) but assuming at the moment a lot of profit will come out of it. Let's not forget the ASIA TOUR as well they should've profit A LOT from it (or else avex the money grabbers wouldn't even allow it of course).
So basically I think that ayu is the most profit artist of 2007.

^Well we don't know the "profit" unless we know how much avex has spent on her. For all we know, it could be a lot of money too. She might be one of the highest "revenue" makers though.

About profit, the only way we can know is if someone gets hold of the tax reports in Japan. I think there were some yearly reports in the past where Ayu was one of the highest tax payer, meaning she earned a lot. Maybe someone will dig it up at the end of this year.

Avex pretty stated on that A BEST 2 pdf that it was the most profiting project of 2007.

They spent tons of money on the A BEST 2 project just as they did with A BEST if not more!

But still, they stated that it was the most PROFIT project of 2007 XD
