Makes no sense to me.
I just don't see the point if she's going to play it safe and avoid competition... I mean, it's fine to take advantage of a weak market, but when you're moving the initial release date around just because competition comes along.. That's ridiculous imo.

I think as fans, most would want her to keep her streak because who would really WANT her to fail? (If you find yourself answering yes to this, shame on you, haha.) But if it happens, it happens. You can't really do anything about it and in the end, she still has a huge record that'll be very hard to beat. People seem to think that fans at AHS would go crazy if she lost her streak, but after the GUILTY incident, I don't think that's the case at all. Sure, some seem like they might blow a gasket over Ayu not reaching the top, but cooooome on. That never happened!

No, I say let's leave the single's release date as it is, it's time for AVEX's marketing to do some work. If she actually ever wins this it will shut up quite a few mouths over here about them constantly picking a release date with weak competition. If she doesn't win, then all the worries about her loosing the #1 streak will go away ^^

that's true . So far from what I'm seeing , Dec doesn't have that much strong fierce competition going on , singles wise

I think it's quite easy for You were ... / BALLAD to nail #1 on that week but other circumstances might change that D:

masaharu's single has 3 versions with free t-shirt and stickers...so its not like ayu's 3 versions will have advantage over his. Well I wouldn't be happy if her streak is broken but I would rather it get broken by someone popular like him than some nobody.

Don't forget that GREEN was also a CM song long before.

This is probably one of the more recent singles where all the tracks seemed to relatively be done around the same time. (Sunrise was done for the drama, Rule had been finished for Dragon Ball Evolution, GREEN was a CM-track, Mirrorcle World was partly done on GUILTY, and so on...)

Well it depends to how much they are limited because if each is limited to 10,000 then it's not a lot (looking at ayu's USB). XD

But yeah if the date won't be pushed back then it will be a hell taugh competition.
I wonder what will avex do about it.

(Btw fukuyama is in Universal right?)

Fukuyama has a tie-up with Toshiba's LCD TV brand, Regza. Apparently it wasn't supposed to be a single and was to remain a CM/chaku-uta download track... but then after fans wanted a single, they made one.

I have a feeling that avex is most definitely going to do some switching around of the dates. I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T.

Oh wow! It's the fleece! Thanks for the image! So the color theme is a very dark brown. Ugh, can't wait!
