I'm kinda interested how high the quality level of songs will be this year. I couldn't watch the second semifinal (it wasn't broadcasted here because our song wasn't there), so I don't know what to expect ;)

fake_foxtail 29th May 2010 11:29 PM

OMG Congrats GERMANY!! :yatta

I started liking the song now! :D

zoomzoom 29th May 2010 11:31 PM

After all these years, Germany finally got it :D Not my fav, but at least not a slow song. Poor Iceland..

Mai82Go 29th May 2010 11:41 PM

Wow, Germany did it. Unbelievable, and I thought the other countries were really strong too. (What happened to UK though? That song was horrible.....)

I know I'm in the minority but I don't really like Satellite and you cannot escape Lena here in Germany and now it's going to be even harder. They already announced they will show specials tomorrow when Lenas plane is going to land here. Craziness.

*-_Ayu-fan_-* 29th May 2010 11:42 PM

yeahhh Germany has won !!!

Love, oh, love, I gotta tell you how I feel about you

Mai82Go 29th May 2010 11:58 PM

What I thought was really cool this year was that collective dancing. (Between the main show and the result announcements) It looked like the whole of Europe was doing para-para. So funny and cool.

Mai82Go 30th May 2010 12:45 AM

^Yep, those butterflies....what were they thinking? :no

Hey, Apricot Girl had at least 2 strong points. :innocent And a grandpa with a flute. :lech

Sakura_Genki 30th May 2010 01:35 AM

I really loved France. XD The song was fun and catchy and made me dance. I loved Belgium as well, and I have a crush on the artist who performed for Israel. He was gorgeous.

Congratulations Germany! I didn't really like Lena's song. Well I loved the beat of the song, but I just didn't like Lena's singing voice.

I'm still laughing that we come last. Our song was ridiculously cheesy.

Raiu-Ayu 30th May 2010 03:07 AM

Overall I loved the contest this year :D Shame we only got 25 points but what the hey lol

Turkey's song was awesome :P I loved that one :P I had to laugh tho when all of a sudden G-Dragon jumped on stage (anyone get it??) haha

And OMG WTF was up with the nutter during Spain's performance??? haha I don't know if every country gets the same camera angles but after he jumped off the stage the camera changed and we could see two guards pulling him away lulz

Chandrachan 30th May 2010 04:01 AM

Congrats to Germany - my fav song was Iceland followed by Turkey
UK came last - that was one cheesy song

powpowparn 30th May 2010 12:11 PM

Congrats to Germany! I voted for Belgium but looks like no one else in the UK did so my vote didn't turn into a point - boo! But at least they finished high ^_^

What the hell was up with Denmark's song though? That had The Police written all over it!

Next year I would like to see the UK enter a song that sounds like something we would actually listen to in the charts. Sending a song that sounded like an 80s b-side was a bad move -_-

Shirlaay 30th May 2010 05:13 PM

I liked Cyprus for some reason, thought it was cute :)
But I can't believe it came something like 21st :(

And I was also stunned by Belarus and the butterfly dresses, they looked awesome! But they ended up finishing 2nd last so boo.

I don't like Satellite and Lena, too.. I don't like how all Germans go crazy about her ~~"

Mari-chan 30th May 2010 07:30 PM

Yes... we won the Contest.
I also couldn't belive it.
I made a Eurovision-Evening with friends... and we all were cheering for every point for Germany. Normaly, we don't really get much Points.
Well.... for me, I also liked Iceland and Belgium!

Mai82Go 30th May 2010 07:30 PM

^^Yes, they are acting like she saved Germany from a deadly disease. She might be a nice person but that song and her style and that english are a turn off. Can't stand it and if you critizise her, it seems like you've comitted high treason against the royal family or something. Glad I'm not alone.

U-GO-BOY 30th May 2010 07:36 PM

yea.. yesterday I was in a club but they showed the Song Contest first and everyone kept staring at the screen, their eyes were literally glued to it haha
and nobody but me cheered when a country but Germany won some points and they stared at me like "****** OFF Ò.ó"..

XFER 31st May 2010 02:15 AM

My two favorites, Norway (AMAZING song and gorgeous singer) and Cyprus ended so low, I feel cheated.

LizBrazil 1st June 2010 12:49 PM

Still can't believe we (Belgium) did so well *for once* :laugh
Normally we always have a big show to choose songs for Eurovision, but it was the first year that a jury choose the artist. When he first performed on Belgian television everyone was negative about him and thought we would end last again.
LOL, everyone was really surprised when we passed the semi-final and even more when we got the points during the final :laugh Yesterday in a Belgian talkshow he said that this was his revenge :laugh "I even had it in me during the first show, but people didn't believe in me. Now I got my revenge by ending at the 6th place." :yes Oh, and his dad promised that he would stop smoking if his son got in the top 5 or even when he got 6th :laugh Now he has to stop, but he now denies that he said he would stop even when his son got the 6th place :roflmao

Funny, I'm one of the ones here who relly love Lena's song "Satellite" and yeah, I'm more than surprised and so happy that she made it. She's individual and a little bit crazy and I think it's great that she has that much success, cause she's just different than the rest.
It's also a bit too much hype for me here now, she didn't do that much...but oh well, after all the negative news it's a nice, refreshing change.
And you all have to admit that's its a clever move to emphasize her own german accent so much while singing that she made it to her individual style everyone recognizes.

zoomzoom 1st June 2010 10:08 PM

^It sounded nothing like a German accent though, way more like cockney or something.
