Too much trouble for nothing, I even regret the day when I got Rainbow in 2004/2005 and discover her, I wouldn't bite my nails now wondering what I will get or no.

Have you listened to the album yet? Or is it just your disappointment and frustration getting to you? You should give it a try first. I'm sorry that you probably wouldn't get the posters or photobook, but surely it wouldn't come to the point of regretting discovering her. That's just... :(

You make it seem like every online seller is out to get your or something.......
I think the way youre handling this situation is kiddish----to not want to listen to an album just because you don't have a book with pictures in it.....
I know you've been having many issues lately with your purchases....but...its Not the end of the world.......Ayu will release more photobooks later in her career.

Look...I'll be honest...the photobook is nothing out of this world...I liked the booklet better :yes (it's so~ pretty!!) I didn't get posters either...nor did I get a prize...

I can't stop listening to this album! and when I definitely can't listen to it, I'm humming a song from it LOL....can't get enough! :P

Ayusan, I don't get it. Where did you order the box? And have you received it yet? Why doesn't it come with the photobook? And maybe you can buy the Hong Kong (or later: Korean) press? That's quite cheap and it also comes with the photobook :) that's how I got Off My Day real cheap, yet new, from YesAsia. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to get the photobook, and remember the #1 most important part is the music! Don't get too down on yourself :)

My update: Still haven't received it.. and FedEx is too lazy / stupid to update their "estimated delivery time" so I have noooo idea when I will receive it. And I paid 25 extra bucks to upgrade to Fedex, and I've been waiting for ever now..

ayusan,don't feel disappointed and frustrated.the boxset itself is valueable.you can always buy a 2nd copy for the CD+DVD so that you can have the photobook.

I think that's why ayusan is angry. Why buy another copy just for the photo book when you already anticipated it to come with it? CD+DVD first press was 1/3 the price already.

You can always sell the box (for even more since it will be a collectible); many, many people wanted it who couldn't.

Ayusan, I'm been reading your posts all day. You really are too hard on yourself cupcake. I can understand your frustration but you need to calm down and stop punishing yourself for things out your control. It's very unfortunate that these things keep happening to you, purchasing anything from Ayu should be an enjoyable experience. But keep in mind, that these things usually happen for a reason. Maybe it'll turn out you need that money for something else or you just need to settle for a little less now before you're rewarded with something better in the future. You never know.

You worked hard and was screwed over, you should be upset but don't let that anger take over and destroy any bit of happiness you may get. Remember that the posters and PB and all that stuff are just incentives, the real prize is that feeling you get when you pop the CD in and hear new Ayu music. I'm sure you'll love the album. Don't let misfortune cloud your opinion of it. Take it easy, k? :)

My copy of RRC just arrived....on today, a PUBLIC HOLIDAY!

I didn't even think posties worked on public holidays so I was about to cry when I got it.....then I tweeted to Ayu that it had arrived, but since her last tweet was 15 minutes before that, I think I missed her :(

I'm taking photos of the unwrapping so I can send her a photo when I next see her tweet xDD

But I am disappointed about one thing.....the person I bought it from on YAJ opened the album before sending it to me so I'll never know if I got lyrics....plus my photobook is now bent on the far corners and the plastic wrapping for the CD+DVD is ripped on the corners as they shoved it back in...I think next time I'll wait and see if it reappears on YesAsia before using Cresent Shop because even though I probably didn't get lyrics, I'll never know if that box had them, plus my product is damaged!

Oh, yes....and I didn't get a poster or a gift so I'll just wait for my copy from YA to get a poster I guess? ;__;

About that box.. The Fedex site says it's FINALY "on a Fedex van for delivery" close to my place :D I'll stay home all day until I get it!

EDIT: 1 minute after I posted this, the doorbell rang!! OMG I'm so excited about unpacking X__X Maybe I'll get lyrics! Well.. probably not but at least I'll FINALLY get to listen to the entire album and see the new PV's!! OMG!

The ones who got the box ASAP got both posters and a likely chance at the prize draw. I got a set of stickers, and it seems like most people who got the box at CDJapan got a prize as well.

Yes, I know that, but I try not to think about that 'cause thinking of what I missed out on makes me sad. haha

But hey I've never won anything in a price draw anyway, not even for A COMPLETE when I ordered the very first day, so I just missed out on the posters, which aren't massively important for me, but they would've been nice :)

BTW for anyone who remembers me mentioning before; my custom frame job on the RnRC poster should be done this week! Wahoooo!

To basically be guaranteed, you have to order in the first 10-15 minutes.

I've done it on the first day usually and I didn't win until I ordered the MOMENT they put the listing up, haha.

I received my Limited box last Friday. It looks great, except OMG it's so freaking huge!!! I wanted to display it on my shelf but it doesn't fit....... Lol

I didn't get lyrics, the prize I got from YA was a tiny tattoo/sticker from A COMPLETE.

I'm waiting for the posters as well as my 2nd YA order. Another chance for prize and lyrics.

Yes because non of them delivers the feelings meaning of Love brings to me (specially the amazing choruses).

All of those ballads are great but it ends in how does they make me feel when I listen to them.
Each one has its share though.

I feel the same...I feel that is the usual ballad of Ayu...I prefer more BALLAD(I love the DAI songs!n_n!) or you were...

A song I really like that no one really cares for at all, which can also be called a 'typical' album-only track, winding road, I like chiefly for how I feel it speaks to me and how much I understand the feeling in it.

I suppose meaning of Love doesn't speak to me at all, and I guess that's OK :P.

moL is pretty, it'd do well in Japan as a single. it's not my favorite ballad in the world, but it'd do well I think.

I really like "MY ALL",specially the "la la la la" part & it bring me the images of Ayu in a concert saying,crying & screaming "arigatou gozaimashitaaaaa",also winding road was used in that part of the show...it is a very touching moment for me...n__n

meaning of Love is definitely pretty and sweet! In that aspect it is exactly like Days. But I don't know if it could beat my beloved Together When..., JEWEL and HEAVEN. Those ballads are her best in my opinion.

The more I listen to moL the more I love it. It's so sweet, and her vocals remind me of her voice in some of her older songs, it has this "classic ayu" feel to it.

Sunset has grown on me too and is now one of my favorites. The live performance at AT09 did wonders. It made me take it a lot more seriously.

meaning of love has grown on me as well. Still the 2nd worst song on the album, but its listenable. Just very generic. Sunset, that crap will never sound remotely good to me :p

If she put MOON on there instead, I think it would have made the end of the album so much stronger.

I think meaning of Love, like Days, has this weird X-Factor that the Japanese love, haha.

I mean it seems like most Japanese fans who talk about it online are really moved by the song and call it one of the ~godly~ songs of the album. It's one of those things where the song is totally made with Japan's tastes in mind and most overseas fans deem it as "boring" which imo is sad.

Yeah I gotta say, Japanese fans love the touching ballads more than the power rock songs, it's just easier to listen to.

I have to say, the more I listen, the more meaning of Love is the best song on the album for me. I can listen to it any time, and it makes me happy!

In an extremely surprising turn of events, it seems like the Japanese are reviewing Rock'n'Roll Circus on Amazon.jp quite well. I thought there'd be like 20-30 more 1/5 reviews that'd bring her average down (but there are only 2 more since I last checked!), but it's looking like Rock'n'Roll Circus will be one of her best reviewed Ayu albums on the site~

I mean it seems like most Japanese fans who talk about it online are really moved by the song and call it one of the ~godly~ songs of the album. It's one of those things where the song is totally made with Japan's tastes in mind and most overseas fans deem it as "boring" which imo is sad.
If it's made with Japan's taste in mind, wouldn't it only be natural rather than 'sad' then that the rest of the world could find it 'boring'?

You put it perfectly. <3 The song's just so raw and the emotion it conveys is really hard to describe. (It's imperfectly perfect) I have other favorites from the album too but count down is definitely one of them.

I dunno if it was really made with Japan in mind, but they eat that sort of thing up so it's possible, I guess. Why should only Japan appreciate it? It's not like the type of song that meaning of Love is isn't found in other parts of the world. It's sad because the song is a sweet little love song that seems to get crap for not trying to be "special" or something. I think this tends to happen with most of Ayu's songs like this (Life, untitled ~for her~, etc.) and it's sad that some songs get overlooked just because people deem it as "boring" when they could be listening to a gem.

Maybe part of it has to do with the language barrier? Ayu always sings with a lot of emotion in all of her songs (not just the sad ones!). But sometimes when people don't understand what she's talking about as she's singing, some of the emotion gets lost?

Sometimes thoughthese are just nice and simple songs with simple lyrics that people just don't care about because they always want Ayu to be revolutionizing music with every album track she releases or something. It's really kind of a lame expectation that people seem to unconsciously have whenever she does a new album/single. "Why isn't this song changing the music industry?!"

(As for the language barrier thing, I would say that doesn't really play a factor in people not liking these songs. It's a taste issue I think more than a language thing.)

I feel the same way. I cried during count down because the lyrics are so haunting. I understand Japanese a bit so when I concentrate I can understand Ayu.

Don't get me wrong, the lyrics to mol are beautiful, and the song is nice, just not to my liking very much :). I have no doubt it's a very emotional and beautiful song. It's just my tastes in the meldoy and arrangement, that's all. Other than that, I like it.

As for the album as a whole, I like this much better than GUILTY and Next Level. :yes

I think songs like Life, Days, meaning of Love, SEASONS, and songs like this, are really core to Japanese music, because most Japanese women singer ballads sounds like these songs, and most recently with an r&b twist. In Japan, I think too many people are sad, and when they hear these songs, they can either find comfort, or find sympathy. Because many people are not aggressive, songs like count down and Last Links would only appeal at one certain point of time. But for example SEASONS, even we are not sad, we can listen to SEASONS for a different purpose than if we were sad... do you understand? I think Japanese public like versatile songs better than a song for this emotion, and a song for that emotion.

Well it's an album-only song with no PV not packed with originality so of course if something's going to get overlooked on this album it might be it.

Of course, there are many of these "typical" you could say songs that I really like too, like Life and untitled and winding road but, eh, I don't expect myself to be like OMG AYU U MAKE GOLD!! for every.single.song she releases so I won't expect others to either :P.

Only in Ayutopia every fan loves every song and cover and appreciates them all :P. I'd never want to visit.

Wilconnetta, it might have been delayed because of the volcanic problems. I ordered Gackt's concert DVD and didn't get it until 3 weeks later, so don't lose hope yet.

That's strange, why should customs keep it? Or did CDJapan forget to put it in?

I got my copy on Tuesday from YA, it was also opened by customs (first time, I can remember that a YA package was opened by customs) fortunately I didn't have to pay. Posters will come seperately.

I've sent an email to CDJ asking whether they have shipped the album and poster together or not. They usually ship them together, hence why I'm reasoning that it is still at the customs office.

YesAsia usually always ships posters separately due to the tubes they ship things in.

CDJapan usually ships both in one package.

CDJ always ships everything together, so if you don't have a poster it's either:

1. CDJ "forgot" to put it in with your package.

2. Post office/custom stole it.

What is the box like? Is it a big box that looks like it would fit a poster in it? If so, I think it's safe to say whoever opened it at post office/custom took it out. They have no right to do that and you should get in their face for it. Usually CDJ writes on the receipt what was sent to you, I'm pretty sure poster should be written on there along with your first press CD.

Well, still haven't recieved my copy either. Yesasia of course. But with the volcanic ash completely amputating the air traffic over Europe, it's nothing weird. I'm not mad about it either; it was completely unexpected and no one can be held accountable for it.

So whoever is getting impatient and paranoid, maybe thinking that their album has been lost somewhere in the mail; chill. It will get to you, it's just an annoying wait, but what can anyone do? Be patient.

lol CDJ answered my email regarding this matter and it turns out, that it was my own fault. I chose Discreet Packaging, as I hoped to avoid custom controls by it, but it is clearly stated that extras like Poster are not shipped if you choose that option. It doesn't really matter though as I didn't want that poster anyway.
