Ayu's sales and chart positions these days are interesting thing to follow even if I don't really care. I'm here for the music but when she was easily topping the charts, I didn't really see any need to follow her sales that much but last year it was awesome. :D

We can't predict the future accurately but I'm sure that she'll do fine if they manage to come up with something overall good, and also if they release it properly.
These 5 releases should have all been singles and the album should have came out half way through the year or even at the end of the year, we fans don't **** dollar bills. But yet again AVEX is desperate, they are milking namie like crazy now, just ridiculous. |
i believe her next album will get better sales...
don't forget that LOVE again is just a compilation of her two minis plus new tracks..no new PV |

^ yes he did... by the time LOVE was released, the Maro scandal was not happening yet. Ayu took Maro out of her dancer team because that was what fans were asking her to do.

You have to take into account LOVE was the first release as well (and her first original release since March of that year) - this will always sell more in the every-month-release campaigns.

Honestly, I don't blame people for not buying this album. Sticking in her "mini-albums" onto a "studio album" wasn't such a good move.

Well ayu's songs aren't usually certificated on RIAJ's PC downloads (iTunes) so there might be no songs that pass 100,000 unfortunately...
ayu's pretty much "dead" for the casual listeners/non-fans and that's probably why. She is still a decent physical seller, which a lot (even most) aren't and that's after a lot of years/a lot of years after her peak as well and that's exactly why one would need a strong fanbase. |
There are not a lot of singers who are certificated on RIAJ's PC downloads but Ayu was 2 weeks in row in the top 5/10 on Itunes and 2nd montly on recochoku for album ranking and there are a lot of other website where you can download songs! Of course it's clear she is not popular and don't sells like she used to be but she is not dead yet lol
